That's a good idea. If they used Species 8472 for the next Trek movie, they could try a savvy horror approach like Pitch Black. You know, make it edgy and actually scary. Kinda like they did in ENT: Impulse, with the Vulcan "zombies."

I too did not develop a close connection with Enterprise; until I started watching all of the episodes. If its Trek, I'll end up loving it. I used to dislike DS9, until Spike started airing it. Now I love that one too!

That's a good idea. It leaves Universities and individual investors with good ideas who would otherwise be ignored by the government a chance to prove their worth. Some really good ideas just might come out of this...just watch...

Why is there little or no human religion in Star Trek? I've always wondered that... I mean, obviously the writers didn't want to single out anyone; but its never been explained in the plot.

Quite honestly, I doubt there is life on Mars anymore. I beleive there was in the past, but there is not now. First contact with an advanced race, however may not be so good for society. There would be mass religious hysteria. Christians would wonder if Jesus died for the aliens as well, or just for humans. Did God create aliens? I don't feel that our society is ready for a first contact yet. Minor species, though would be great! It would make us wonder where else these lifesigns might be able to be found. It would open up a new age of exploration and government spending on NASA and related subsidiaries would be back to what they should have been all along.

Human society will eat itself alive. Just watch.

Six words were found in the AOL/AIM User Agreement that raised some eyeborws: "You waive any right to privacy." AOL claims it was referring to its Rate-A-Buddy feature, not the AIM service as a whole. AOL claims it only monitors conversations after court orders and other extreme curcumstances. Do you really believe this? If AOL were to ever be accused of invading privacy, they would not be liable because of those six words.

I believe its none of our business. How many times do you hear announcers at a sporting event talking about the players' wives being sick or some other thing? People's personal lives are none of the media or the nation's business. News media should stay out of people's lives.

I lost faith in Star Wars and George Lucas after the first time I saw Jar Jar Binks. I'm really not expecting much.
