As much as I hate to admit it, I agree. Resurrecting Enterprise is a lost cause. We need to devote our resources to campaigning for a new series...on a channel that won't screw us over.

As much as I hate to see something I love so die out, its happening. I felt the same way right after I saw Matrix Revolutions. I'm afraid Enterprise has seen its day. There will be others. Star Trek will never die.

You're reading too far into the holographic "simulator." You do realize that's probably just what they call a big holodeck, right? Aren't all holodeck programs simulated? It implies nothing about experimental things...

9/11/01 was mine and my fiance's nine month anniversary of being together. Crazy day. Bad omen? Four years three months strong now...

If we're going to sink it, let's rename it. How's about something like the USS Chile? What has Chile ever done good besides have a cool name?

You know what, I have been watching all the Enterprise episodes in order and am now about a quarter of the way into season 2. I've been keeping up with season four. Anyway, I saw "A Night In Sickbay" last night and I thought all of this stuff about Archer and T'Pol was just jokes. Now I see where it comes from. Wow. That could actually happen, although it would be horribly inappropriate.

I don't like Brannon and Braga, but let's not jump to conclusions just yet.

That's pretty awesome. Here's a computer generated version I made. It makes a great wallpaper!

Yes, but starcraft aren't made to travel through atmosphere. That's why they're called STARcraft. Sure, any ship should be able to travel through atmosphere, but it is not their primary function and should therefore not dictate overall design. Imagine how much more space can be used if a starship is square. Simple geometry. The bulkier the shape, the more room. Effiniency of vital systems may have to be compromised in order to create a more aerodynamic design that is not a necessity.

Philosophical Challange (for elderbear especially)

If thuth to me is eating people, is that wrong? Consider the borg. They find truth in assimilating cultures, although it is not very nice. -

Truth is what is force fed to us. If I locked you in my basement in total darkness when you were born and kept you there all your life, your universe would be that basement. If I shined a light down and threw you food every once in a while, I would be your god. You would know nothing beyond that basement. That would be your truth. Out here in the "real" world, there are different truths. For instance, I am told that Europe exists. I know that as a truth because I've been told that all my life. I've never been there, so it is not a complete truth. If I look out my window right now, I expect to see a parking lot. I know the lot is there because I walked across it to enter my apartment. But, I can't see it right now. How do I know it exists right now? I don't. Maybe every time I look through the window, the parking lot just appears. Maybe its not there right now. The existence of anything is a "truth." Again, truth is what is told to us all our lives. -
I dunno. I think the final episode will be the Rikers for some reason commemorating the hostoric NX-01. They make a simulation to commemorate it. This would be a better ending than the whole series not being real.

oh oh oh! here's a better one! Hoshi: Do we have a chainsaw onboard?

Yes. Aerodynamics. Then again, there is little need for aerodnyamics in spacecraft, since there is no atmosphere to create friction. The only need for spacecraft to be aerodynamic is when they are within nebulae.

Yes, we do feed off the sun's magnetic core and ours would be lessened if we moved away, but our planet does emit magnetic traces. That's how compasses work. Also, moving us much farther away from the sun would literally throw us into an ice age. Even if we were as close as Mars, our temperatures would range from +1F to -174F. Yeah, I hate it when it's 20F out. (lay off, i can't find the degree sign) I don't know if people realize, but a 2 degree change in our ecosystem is enough to cover most of the north half of America with evergreen trees. Yes, 2 degrees. Why do you think scientists are so concerned when our global temperature rises about a tenth of a degree a year? Unfortunately, where our planet is right now is perfect condition for life to exist. Any hotter or any colder and this Earth we know would be alot different. We'd all be Andorians if we were farther away!

Yeah, I'm poor, so I have a '91 blue Buick Skylark (hey, its got some balls for a 4 popper) with a Starfleet Academy "college" sticker in the window right next to my Pittsburgh Technical Institute sticker.

The loss of Enterprise is a bitter one. We Trekkies will have our day and our vengeance.

ROFLMAO. I love it!!!

Archer & T'Pol can't get together unless Trip is out of the way. I was hoping that his move to USS Columbia would do the trick, but now they got this mind thing going on. Thus, the only way for them to eventually get together is for Trip to die. :stare: LOL. I hope you're kidding...

No. Those are lyrics. Just thought they would fit this thred. song: Nine Inch Nails - Happiness in Slavery (1992)

I think I saw something that looked like that on the side of the road today...
