i voted best of st but then i saw the word 'finale'...

I agree, it felt rushed and pointless, i mean, Shran's daughter? Who cares about that when we've just had the wonderful 'Demons'/'Terra Prime' arc? And what sense does it make to have Trip die saving her? The Shran/Archer relationship was always an engaging part of the show, but that's all it was...a PART. Not something that deserves to be the focus of the finale of the greatest Star Trek series since TNG. As far as i'm concerned the story of Enterprise ended with Terra Prime. 'TATV' was, from my point of view, just a a POSSIBLE future. 6 years is too long a break between two episodes to be believable.

The audio montage at the end does make those hairs stand on end though! ;)

I havn't seen it yet - live in UK and don't want to download it untill i see it here.

I'm sure it can't be that bad though.....can it?

I live in the UK also and was following season 4 avidly... I expected something more emotional...but it got Brannon Braga-ized as did Voyager's 'Endgame'... too much 'concept' and not enough soul.

If you love Enterprise like i do...yes, it really can be that bad.

Endgame wasn't as good as it could have been but i thought the DS9 finale was quite good. I'm hoping that Enterprise's finale won't be too bad. It sounds like the episodes just before are better - looking forward to 'In a Mirror, darkly'.

If you think about (this has probably been said before)it was more like a TNG character building episode for riker than a Enterprise episode. Would have been a good mid-season TNG episode but not a finale of an entire show. They should have gone all out and made a full length feature like they have done since TNG. Or left it hanging so they could go onto movies like TOS and TNG...

End Game wasn't that bad (only just a little...)

I voted poor. I watched it with low expectation trying not to be dissapointed and it was mildly entertaining as long as I didnt give it any thought ;)

It was too rushed, like many others I would rather it had just stopped without being completely "resolved" at least then it wouldnt have left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I was really dissapointed with trip's death, utterly pointless, i expect they just threw it in because they felt the need to kill someone but couldnt think of a good way to do it. The crew reactions to it also were completely unbelievable. I watched tng - "lower decks" the other night, at the end a lower ranking crewmember dies and the whole crew reacted to it, they showed a heap more emotion for this low ranking person than was shown for Trip.

If you cant do it right, dont do it at all. hope braga isnt involved with the next movie (i hope it is still in the works)

It was bad enough and then they kill off Trip. It was more of a TNG ep than an ENT ep (IMHO). In a word...it sucked!

EDIT: I know a lot of people didn't like Voyager's ending either. I did. I thought it was fantastic.

I agreed with most of this except the end, I've seen better production from folks here on this site. Really, the rest of the show was like a leftover episode from season 2, like an after thought. A whole season could be done just on hijacked episodes of Star Trek.

Otherwise, I feel like the death of Trip was a deliberate attempt of B&B to kill any opportunities for the future, even in books, since we all know what happens in six years, and that's the only gap.

Bummed out cuz it was cannceled

wasn't cannceled it ended, cause they wrapped it up and did a final episode. cannceled would have been a cliffhanger ending with a mid-summer no we will not be showing this show anymore...

I really didnt like the ending at all, I think they should of put more of an effort into it. I also think it lacked something, not sure what maybe closure?

Er, a plot perhaps? Compared to the episodes it followed, the plot was typical of B/B.... practically non-existant and obviously latched on so that they could accomplish particular events.

It was disappointing to say the least, and pathetic is my favourite word for it. I wasn't that huge of an Enterprise fan since it started to go downhill during season 2 but there were some highly entertaining season 4 eps. The finale was not one of them.

i dont wanna be overly critical but the eps i have seen lacked substance and i have not felt as involved in the plots as i did with DS9 and TNG.

i will probably see the last ep soon and see how it was.

have fun
