netwizard
So what's next for the future of the Star Trek saga? Do you think the saga is really over like Star Wars?
GorunNova
Naah... it merely sleeps, awaiting the kisses of Prince Budget and Prince Fanbase to awaken it ^^

Jawa
lets hope they start a new series before holo-novels are the new thing or we will be running around with Kirk and stuff... They are never creative when making holo-novels anymore... :p
quig69
The sad part is they won't care if it is good. They will only care if they think it will make money. After a few more shows like Enterprise then they might focus on quality over profits. But I doubt it.
TetsuoShima
The problem with the latest series was that they spend to much money on effects and too little on acting. The acting is what made the TNG series so succesfull, not the special effects. Probably they also overpaid the morons (Archer and co). When the next series appear, I hope they will have learned from their mistake and recruit some decent actors. And I am quite certain that there will be a next series, most likely the events of that series will be in the time after voyager, deep space 9 and the next generation. It could take a while though since the studios are only interested in the fast and big bucks, they don't care for series with a profitmargin below 20%. That's also the reason why they overcharge everything....

Completely agree with you!!! Good actors, that's what a new Star Trek series will need... The closer to the TNG or TOS cast, the better! As for the certainty of having another series... If Paramount dare to try again ;) :p ! We'll wait and see! Hope it's for the best! I'll be really glad if they present another plot of the never ending adventure! :)

It's not there fault that The idiots in Voyager and Enterprise wrote really bad episodes. Compare TNG & DS9 to VOY & ENT. I just hope that the next series is a DS9 miniseries. Why? Beacuse there was only two good Trek shows TNG and DS9. We already had 4 TNG movies and DS9 has a HUGE storyline which is to big to fit in 2 hours. A miniseries would do it better. What was wrong with Enterprise and Voyager had some good episodes.....But i would also like to see a DS9 miniseries cause DS9 was the best star trek series.....so far - would need a big budget like the one they had in season 4 - they were able to splash out with things like the Big battle with the Klingons which was really cool. maverick
yeh, shame about DS9. it was the best one. there were some good stories in voyager but it all got a bit predictable when they won EVERY encounter with the borg. what the new series needs is a new approach. as much as i love trek, they keep throwin the same format at us all the time. a new angle would be good. DS9 came closest but am not sure what to suggest to be honest. there was a thread on it a whie back and some good ideas. i think that there is a lot of mileage in the klingon empire. its the most interesting and interactive part of DS9. there is politics and battle (glorious batttle) and intrigue. perhaps worf could have another outing s the federeation ambassador to kronos. there would be lots going on...... Furious
The crew of DS9 were told to leave some plot open in What You Leave Behind. If you watch it you can see alot of plots surface up. Like Bajor entering The Federation, The klingons making new war ships for the next 10 years, The federation recovering. The occupation of Betazed and Cardassia rebuilding it self. See what i mean? About VOY and ENT. Yeah a FEW good episodes. I feel sorry for the actors who had there talent wasted there. btw i heard Worf quit beign an ambassador in a deleted Nemisis scene. bbbb
Not much I'm afraid. I think Trek is on the cutting room floor for a couple of years at least. It will be some time before they bring it back.
