gathererhade
Context. Yeah. That debate has been around. I thought it had been settled long ago that if it was something different, but with the same name, it was allowed. And as for New Earth in 'Invasion of the Dinosaurs', yes it was named as such by the characters. In this vein, why don't we codify what we can & can't post. I'd suggest starting at the basics, so: Each word posted must begin with the last letter of the word posted before it. Where a post has more than one word, the poster can specify which word (ie letter) is to be used in the next post You may not post a word previously used, unless it satisfies the context rule. Simply rearranging words from a previous post is not permissible Context Rule: Where a name has been used more than once in Doctor Who to identify DIFFERENT people/places or things, the name may be used again, BUT the poster MUST specify the origin of their post and how it differs from the previous instance Use of a collective noun does not preclude the posting of an individual covered by that noun, and vice versa Posting of everyday items (eg chair, hat) can only be done once, even though a number of different ones have appeared in different stories All words used must come from BBC produced or licensed material (the TV show, Big Finish CDs, DWM comics, etc) EXAMPLES: 'Dalek' does not preclude use of 'Sek' (or 'Dalek Sek') and vice versa 'Dalek Sec', or 'Sec' does preclude the post of 'Sec, Dalek' and vice versa The posting of 'Kroton' (from "The Krotons") does not preclude the posting of 'Kroton' (the Cyberman with emotions from the DWM comics), so long as the poster specifies this difference Comments/clarifications, please. And even though Antilles mentioned doing it, here is an up to date... Antilles
hehe I dunno, you try to add a bit of spice to the game :) I had no idea how/what or why Q'ness is, apparently it doesnt mean anything so I figured it was a nice way to give points!
Amnot Borg
Q-ness is basically your karma level. How others think of you and how well you help or hinder others on the site. I believe Gatherhade made it clear that he doesn't care about the Q-ness system so negatives are fine by him. IMO, if he did care, He'd have a lot more +ive points.
