I will like to see Q in a Star Trek movie

I think its a great idea to bring back the old Crew from TNG (some of them)---Picard, data and of course Q.

Q can have a good role since they have a vested interest in keeping the galaxy in one piece.

The borg alliance is a bit old since it has already been done in voyager and they didnt really do much other than let voyager enter the other species fluidic space.

If species 8472 invade earth from one side and Borg from another side, then the galaxy will be left to defend itself. The only way it can do it is if they are helped.

Here is where Q comes in. Q feels he has to restore order to the galaxy. But the continuum wont let Q directly interefere in the fight.

So Q helps Picard, janeway, data to go to the FUTURE, like 29th century. In the future they acquire technology such as protonic weapons and cloaks and shielding, as well as speedddd for Voyager and Enterprise E.

how about a holographic starship with a mostly hologram crew with a human Engineer(good with holomatrix), seven of nine (obvious reasons), quark(comic relief), and Guinan(whoopi isnt doing much these days). joe(emh) could be their captain and a instead of shields they could let enemy fire go rite through them, only shield the humaniod crew with a personal holoshield.

plot goes like this: time has stopped, and they have to fix it. everybody in the alpha Quadrant is paused. captain joe has to take the E.H.S(Emergency Holographic Starship) out to find out who or what is responsable fo the time paradox

Or how about a holodeck movie? Someone falls in love with a holodeck character and develops a holo-addiction, the holodeck safety goes off due to a strange nebula and a mad holocharacter tries to take over the alpha quadrant and the captain has to save it. Sorry, I'm getting a little carried away. ;)

leave it to me to be argumentative, but...

i kinda like the idea.

either rick berman is floggin a dead horse which is a piss take, or he is thinkin long term.

i think it would be cool to see a movie fillin in bits of the timeline. whenever else are ya gonna see it. i think fillin gaps is something we all wanna see.

also to quote myself, my enjoyment of the two most recent movies has been diluted by pat stewarts overfamiliarity with his role. he treats it more like a fun day out than a starfleet mission. good stories though.

plus movies will attract audiences and keep trek current (ish) in the minds of non trekkers. will this lead to a longer term place for star trek with non trekkers?

there is also tons of scope for fill in stories as long as there isnt a movie every year with a new crew. that would be crap.

also, now riker has a new ship the next TNG movie will HAVE to have at least two BEASTSHIPS and possibly more.

 BATTLE

so on the whole more trek is GOOOD.

maybe not ideal but goood

How about this:

Klingon Empire has weakend after the war with Dominion. It's hard for the High Counsil to maintain order. An opposite fraction begins to gain power. Civil war threatens the Empire. The emperor is assasinated, civil war begins. Counselor Martok(Worf's friend, former General who was given this title by Worf - DS9 7x22 "Tackling into the Wind') must unite the Empire, the only way to do it is to find the Sword of Kah'less.

But he can't trust anyone within the Empire, so he asks Worf and the Federation for help. Only Worf and (Ezri) Dax can help him (if you don't know why, see DS9 4x09 "The Sword of Kahless").

Federation agrees, for the good of the Alpha Quadrant and for its ally, to help, so they send Worf and Ezri, but not alone, Worf, as an ambassador, requests some ships to protect them, because renegate Klingons know about their plan and want to stop them, and they have many ships. So they assign Enterprise and Titan (Picard's request). Admiral Janeway takes command of this mission, which is very important for the Alpha Quadrant. And as an admiral, she gets to choose her ship, and she chooses Voyager. Picard and Riker have been chosen beacuse they have experience dealing with Klingons. She, for sentimental reasons, takes command of the Voyager.

They all go (with Counselor Martok and his flagship) to DS9 first to pick up Ezri, there the Defiant joins them with Kira in command. These five ships go to start looking for the sword (bat'leth) at the very place Worf, Jadzia Dax and Kor abandoned it (DS9 4x09).

But the search gets complicated, they can't find it. They discover that renegate Klingons get help from the Breen. Everything gets messy but eventually they find the sword, and Martok returns with it and brings peace to the Empire as a new Emperor and one and only leader.

On the way we could destroy Martok's ship, Titan, or even Voyager or Defiant, just pick :)

That is the way of bringing TNG, DS9 and Voyager together, and continue the story line. What do you think abou that? Maybe it's too much? We could exclude Voyage plot, and even Titan. Or use DS9 space staion only for temporary stop and not bring the Defiant. Well, these are details, what do you think generally of the story?

how about they continued the voyager and started off where it left off and they made so that voyager never made it home but they were captured by the borg or species 6472 or whatever ther called ..and put into a whole hollographic world and they were getting mind probed by them for inteligence ..hehe hhmmm i love voyager they killed it just like there doing to enterprise just as its getting good too ..oh well they will just kill it like all the good shows ..the tv companys make enough dolla from the advertisements to make the show 10 times over ..tight gets :cyclops:

The Berman idea was horrible. The enterprise idea was horrible. The execution was mostly skillful, but most people aren't THAT interested going back to fill out the trek timeline. The big problem with going back is that it's difficult to avoid writing in inconsistencies. For example, the borg evidence in enterprise. That doesn't do a lot to explain why no one had ever heard of the borg in TNG.

I don't think there should be a new movie right now, period. The tale of the voyager is finished, and the enterprise E crew is scattered now. I haven't watched the final couple seasons of DS9 yet, so I don't know what could be done with the Defiant.

Bottom line, there needs to be a new television series, and it needs to be after the events of voyager and nemesis. A few years into that, I could see a movie. But there's not much for a movie right now.

Other than that, I really like the idea of species 7483(or whatever) coming back. They're a mean villain. I also like the idea of following several plot lines(I'd say: enterprise E, riker's new ship, defiant, voyager), but that would be a lot of star power to pay for. These guys aren't huge, but they still don't do movies cheap, so anything requiring two or more crews is going to be way expensive.

Maybe, but I think that's what can help Star Trek right now. Some people are fans only of certain crews, like TNG or Voyager, and they don't watch anything else of Star Trek. That kind of movie can bring them all together and interest them into other crews and the Star Trek world as a whole. Besides, I bet everyone wold like to see a movie where all these crews interact so it could make a lotof money.

One more thing, because there would be so many stars in that movie, they wouldn't have to be paid a lot because they would play less that in ordinary movie, there just woldn't be that much time.

One more prob... Movies with too many leading characters tend to be slow or shallow, and to appeal to everyone you can't say, well TNG crew the most time and VOY and DS9 come in a short time, then the whole effect of them working together would be gone...

So basically, nice idea, but aint gonna happen...

Unfortunately, people who decide about these things are not Trekkers... money's the priority, then the rest. Well, at leat they could ask us, Star Trek fans, for some ideas for movies, series or episodes. Because I think B&B are little worn out, maybe they need is some fresh thought, someone new. And no more "re-making" episodes from other series... New ideas, that's what we need IMO.

As for the idea of Enterprise NX-01 movie, about the war with Romulans or about the birth of the Federation, it would only make sense in one case - the Enterprise must go on for at leat 7 seasons.

Now it is year 2154, the war with Romulans starts in 2156 ends 2160. The UFP was found in 2161. Between 2154 and 2156 there probably was a lot going on, tensions rose between Humans and Romulans, it needs to be shown. War started somehow, for some reason and lasted for some time.

And everything before 2161 - how the Federation and new Starfleet were born (Starfleet became the protector of all Federation citizents), how Andorians, Vulcans, Tellarites and Humans were united (these four species found UFP according to Daniels in ENT 3x24 "Zero Hour") - I know it started in 2154 in last played three episodes of ENT - "Babel", "United" and "The Aenar". But there they just got Andorians and Tellarites started talking to each other, Humans seem to talk to everyone, but uniting Vulcans with Andorians would be tough. Besides, talking is one thing, forming a Federation, uniting, is another. There's still a very long way to that. And the great Romulan war is on the way. There's much to tell, it is sad the ENT is supposed to end. It could last many episodes and even some movies.

"Species 8472" doesn't exactly roll off the tounge the way "Borg" does.

Ever notice how close the sounds of "Borg" and "Board" are? The Board of Directors wants to assimilate you into their korporate kulture! Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

how bout this, the titan is on its way home to earth when all of a sudden a spacial anomily appears on sensors only a few hundred km in front of them - too close to back off. they are pulled into the anomily to find when they come out that they are exactly where they were before except in a mirror universe and they are on a collision course with, the mirror titan. after beaming aboard, riker discovers that their prescence there has contaminated the mirror timeline casing chaos throughout the entire galaxy. working together they form a double deflecotr beam to recreate the anomily in the mirror universe, when the real titan begins to leave the other titan is sucked into the anomily and niether ship emerges from it. from there they have to find their way out alone but side by side so they dont ruin eachothers chances.

how about...the enterprise breaks down at a friendly system where, although they are friendly, arent able to help. but! they do offer the enteire crew a nice cup of tea and a scone while they wait for the tow truck starship comes.

riker, receiving a distress call, warps straight to his former captains aid with the intention of a properly heroic rescue, is absolutely astounded by the incedibly high quality of the aforementioned tea and scones and radio's into starfleet and tells a huge porky saying the titan conked out at the traffic lights and he gonna have to do some very important research on scones and some reasonably hazardous lookin doughnuts.

this theme carries on in the same vein til the planet is surrounded by starfleet ships and the alpha quadrant is taken over by that strange martian from bugs bunny cartoons.

marv's resume
