Vyperion
thats true but TNG, DS9 and Voyager all took off by there 4th season Enterprise had not. Secondly, i would hardly call season 4 brilliant far from it, proabably had 2 or 3 great episiodes.....at best i would say it was average at best, nothing really lit up the series. I agree with that - season 3 was the best of them. Season 4 was like the last breath of a dying animal - it knew it was going and just wanted one last run. They rushed the 'Temporal War' to finish in the first two episodes, had very few re-watchable epsiodes (I watched some S3 eps 4 or 5 times, S4 eps only once or twice), too many story-arcs and they essentially finished the series with a lame 'terrorist' story about Human xenophobes with the mirror-universe two-parter providing a brief respit before a 'future's past' episode with Riker thrown in for good measure (he was a little too big to resemble himself from ten years ago). Like someone said - none of the big-wigs who work for Paramount care what happens to Trek anymore and considering we had eighteen straight years of it (twenty-five seasons worth), I'm not surprised. I think they just wanted it to be really dead this season.
Ulysses
actually i thought the mirror universe episodes was a complete was of time, by that time surely they knew it was gonna be cancelled, they could of given enterprise a good send off with the last 3 episodes instead of the mirror two parter and the very last one which we all mostly agree was a big let down. I did like the xindi arc in season 3 and they should of built on that but they just went back to mostly single and double episodes which where less than imaginative (did like commander tran - mr jeffery combs always did make things intresting) the high light of season 4 was the two parter about the romulans and there remote controlled cloaked ship...other than that there wasnt much that i would re-watch. Ive bought alot of star trek on DVD, but enterprise i wont buy at all as i know i wont re-watch them
Ulysses
if you look at TNG, DS9 and Voyager, by the end of season 4 of each they all had there truely classic episodes TNG Inner Light TNG best of both worlds TNG Yesterdays Enterprise TNG Q Who DS9 way of the warrior part 1 and 2 DS9 Little Green Men DS9 The Die is cast Voyager scorpion part 1 and 2 Vogager year of hell part 1 and 2 When you look at enterprise NON of there episodes could compare with theses classic trek moments. bbbb
It would have been fun to revisit the mirror ENT universe.

favian
Its somewhat sad what they did. Lets be fair Enterprise has some truly unique episodes. but the sad part is that after they recieved notiice of cancellation, the show got interesting
TFMF
I saw the season finale of Enterprise a couple of weeks ago - the episode was good in some ways - i liked how Riker played the Chef and each member of the cast got there little bit of conversation with him and it was nice to see a little of the Enderprise D and Riker and Troi. And I suppose the fact that the episode ended with Archer starting off the Federation was a good idea.

And I suppose the fact that the episode ended with Archer starting off the Federation was a good idea. That was the part that I hated the most! In my humble opinion, it reduced the entire crew of the NX into nothing more then holodeck charecters, thus reducing the entire series into a holodeck fantasy that Riker concocted. Henceforth, making the four season run of Enterprise virtually worthless. I should note here, however, that aside from the first season of Enterprise, I generally was not impressed with the series. Except for a few episodes here and there, of course.
