bbbb
Is the Doctor the best? How about Doctor Crusher? You decide who's the best Trek doctor. This is not reality TV.
TFMF
The Doctor - he was the funniest and had the best episodes
Guest c4evap
Another one for The Doctor (EMH). He had some great episodes. My favorite being "Message In A Bottle" - 4x14. Andy Dick as EMH-2...what a pisser. c4 B)
S0V13T
I voted for McCoy, no Effing contest. Not only was he openly racist, but he perscribed booze to crewmen sometimes, got his groove on many times, AND he swore like a sailor. Awesome.

TFMF
I voted for Doctor Crusher, but what about Dr. Katherine Pulaski? Does anybody remember her? ;) Yeah but she was only there for a year.
Merat
I voted for Dr. Crusher. I had quite a crush on her when TNG was first on the air. Taking that out of consideration, I would have voted for Dr. McCoy. Gotta love a fellow southerner.
proton45
McCoy was a great character...full of color and life. Kelly played him bold without going "too" over the top.
dirtbox
I voted for The Doctor, but Phlox was easily the best character in Enterprise. McCoy was highly irritating, infact I'm absolutely positive Polaski was McCoy in a wig.
maverick
its bashir all the way. he is cool. knows how to have fun, is dedicated, gets all the girls - or most of them - and eventually the one he wants. he doesnt just stay on the station, he gets involved in scraps and everything. a solid allrounder. in terms of preference you could choose anyone but in terms of the best - its bashir
StitchInTime
Yeah but she was only there for a year. Inquiry: How many years do you have to do before it counts?
StitchInTime
I voted for Dr. Crusher. . . . Taking that out of consideration, I would have voted for Dr. McCoy. . . . Yes, I liked him a lot, too; so, it was a tough decision.
TFMF
Yeah but she was only there for a year. Inquiry: How many years do you have to do before it counts? Well - it's really who was the main Doctor for each Starship or station and Doctor Polaski wasn't the main doctor for the Enterprise
Hawkboy
I can't believe this is even close.... Doctor McCoy all the way. He, along with Kirk and Spock, ARE Star Trek!!!! *By the way, who thinks Sigs longer than the persons actual post should edit them down to maybe just one line??!! :stare:
carcynsdad
they were all great characters, but the doctor grew up right before our eyes. from a hologram program to a person over the course of the show! THE DOCTOR HANDS DOWN
StitchInTime
*By the way' date=' who thinks Sigs longer than the persons actual post should edit them down to maybe just one line??!! :stare:[/quote'] Hmm. Interesting speculation. I wonder if anyone actually reads them (other than the scribe, hopefully) when they are that long.
BarneyCletus
I never liked Polaski. She was always really mean to Data. I understand they were trying to do the whole McCoy-Spock thing but when she did it it didn't sound like ribbing and Data wasn't able to get his own back because he was too polite. I put in a vote for Bashir. To be fair he probably isn't the "best" but should get some mention and I'd like to see him at least get third place. I'd prefer McCoy to The Doctor. Anyone who likes McCoy should read Ex Machina. It really sets the character into your head really well of why he is the way he is.
taff
It is a tough call between some of the memorable classic lines / scenes involving "Bones" and some of the recent funny and thought provoking times that "The Doctor" gave us. It is polls like this that make me wish for a weighted polling system. Something like rate the doctors from 1 (worst) to 5 (best) with each vote giving the corresponding number of points to the candidate. That way we get to know who is most popular and who is least popular with slightly more accuracy. I wouldn't feel bad voting for The Doctor if I could give McCoy a second place vote or vice versa. Then again maybe the whole system would only help those like me who are having trouble making a decision. Would anybody have voted Pulaski if she were on the poll?
