I like the new outfit, it's more like the traditional outfits, the only flaw for me is the colour of suit itself I never been a fan of that shade of brown. Still I' get used to it - Inever thought I'd get used to the ninth Doctor's outfit, but after one episode i didn't even notice it.

Love the new cossie. The only thing i didn't like about Chris' Costume was the leather jacket. He travels back in time and no one says anything about his jacket?

I think Paul McGann had the best costume (apart from the wig when it rained), but I think the Doctor should be costumeless :p (not naked Paul McGann- keep telling self I don't mean naked), in that he should wear appropriate clothes to the time period he's in, and only have a costume as such for alien/future worlds.

Actually, there are several wise-cracks made at the Doctor's expense regarding that jacket. In the Unquiet Dead - Dickens and Captain Jack comments about him being: A U Boat Captain.

Pella: I have always thought that should have been the case with the TARDIS wardrobe, I mean there are all those clothes and they should be worn more often. I guess though the writers want the Doctor to have an iconic look to each of his incarnations regardless of what he should be wearing in that time period.

Either that or the Doc is just plain lazy when it comes to picking out clothes each time.

Not to mention the production budget would increase because they'd need a costume for every world set he's on.

Yes, but the whole point of the new modern look was to allow CE to blend in whilst looking distinctive. He did exactly blend in in other time zones did he? The permanent costume thing started when JNT took over as producer of Dr Who. Before that the doctor wore different outfits or at least variations of the same outfit.

Yep that's the one I meant' date=' I wish they'd have done some more with that costume in the series. I wonder if David will end up dressing differently...I remember Tom in Talons, in his Sherlock Holmes costume...so cool![/quote']

That's exactly what I mean, and Jon pertwee definitely has a range of frilly shirts and smoking jackets and the occasional cape

I think it fit the bill well it's distingtive, slobish and slightly eccentric with the shoes. Slightly surprised he's waring a tie. maybe he will have some diffferent ones to add colour.

One good thing is that it could be worn in any time from the 20's to today and possibly in the future without attracting too much notice (except the shoes) ;)

Well done I hope he turns out to be a good doctor and lasts longer than one season.

I was a bit dissapointed when Chris decided that it was too much for him

I think DT has signed for 3 years. I wonder mhow long this run will last. Do you think it will manage 26years like the previous one?
