bbbb
Hey I think you're right about the Klingons. Every Klingon episode has had one form of violence or another from what I remember.
hubix
Exploration and fight come together in this job, there are always hostile species. The idea of Starfleet is that ships explore until they are needed somewhere. They keep a vast army of ships for defensive purposes, but warships are needed only sometimes, so they also make them explorers. And that;s where the fn begins, being both an explorer and a soldier
GhostShadow
when the worm hole to the gamma quadrent was found starfleet ordered 12 luner class ships to be made for deep space exploration in the gamma quadrent. The U.S.S. Lunar and the U.S.S. Titan where the frist two to be constructed. The U.S.S. luner was destroyed but a faulty somthing...dont remember the specifics. Then when the dominion threat arose star fleet canceled all other luner class ships excet the U.S.S. Titan, for the need to make more powerful military ships to fight the dominon. After The domion was defeated the command of the U.S.S. Titan was givin to captian Riker. The Story of the Titan continues in The books. But any ways Rikers' first mission riker said that the federation was wanting to return to exploration of space after nerly a decade of war. So i dont think that the federation will go all military gun-ho after nearly 10 years of war. They need to go back to the core of their federation. jayjay21
i will agree with TFMF ur story for the next trek sounds really cool, what got me hooked was the exploration thinking one day thehuman race could actually have ships like that. Well u never know
TFMF
LOL' date='nice pic Crewman vfn4i83. I would like it if they showed the exploration of the beta quadrent.[/quote'] He might want to shrink it down....a lot. Also - wouldn't it be nice if say the Human Race was a dying race - Earth destroyed years ago - somthing like this could be included

jayjay21
If the human race is going to be dying out then have a starship exploring an uncharted part of space looking for a new home
MindTrick
"Does anybody remember when we used to be explorers?"-Picard I'd like to see more exploration in the future of star trek. I think it was nice to see the federation at a time of full blown war for a change (ds9), but thats not the federation.
hubix
i'd like to see some exploring mixed with battles, different encounters and so on, just mixed stuff, like TNG where there was exploring, but also the Borg, Cardassians, Klingon civil war, Romulans... a little war would be good too, but we shouldn't go too far, it should not be another DS9 nor VOY, but TNG was always good :)
Cypha01
I'm not really a hardcore trek fan, nor do I claim to have THAT much knowledge of it, but iv seen most of the episode. IMHO, id like to see a series where we see the collapse of the federation, lots of corruption. Well I thought this was a cool idea until I remembered babylon 5 !! Not sure if theres anything honesty you can do with the formula that can keep it fresh and innovative, I would love to be proved wrong though... seriously, I think it should come back. bigbaba
In my opinion, I loved Ent because there was no all powerful Fedaration to suck the life out fo the show. I thnk ST in general needs to be re-invented before they can air a new series. Maybe one where the Fedaration gets beat up in some struggle (no need for external war but civil war could be fun); or at some point in the future where things aren't so cushy. Just what I'd like to see.

maverick
i think the balance is pretty good one focus will always become tiresome. . then i suppose you could argue that exploration will lead to confrontation and understanding of other new cultures. then youre arguing in a circle. i though DS9 was the best series. it had everything. though the religious aspect was unlikely i thought it was aninteresting take on an alien society with certain parallels between that and an earth culture and how they integrated space travel with religion. the next trek willbe hard to conceive i think. much of the format will hae to remain the same - if it didnt it wouldnt be trek - tho a theme running through it might be useful. like DS9 or Voyager. i can only think of new ideas for the existing format. how bout you....?
