Guest c4evap
The philedelphia experiment EDIT - my bad, this hsould be under cheesy B movies!!!! Somehow I've got to throw in the The Wizard of Oz as one of my all time favorites. But as to cheesy B movies: Buckaroo Banzai Big Trouble in Little China Battle Beyond the Stars (Hey - when you're a kid looking for anything sci-fi - this counted) Buck Rogers (70's movie version - before they turned it into a TV space hairdresser show) Oddly enough, these are all actually "B" movies... Oh no! You didn't call "Big Trouble In Little China" a cheesy B movie did you??? I know Kurt Russell went a bit overboard with his poorman's imitation of The Duke but come on now... c4 :cyclops:
Pella
He does a better impression of Clint Eastwood. I'm thinking Escape from New York, and LA. :p :cyclops: :p Speaking of Escape from LA, how badly has Stacy Keach aged!!!!!

dino4
Well this was a very strange one. Its full title was ( i think ) Buckaroo Banzai Adventures in the 8th Dimension Something like that anyway.. All i can remember was he was a singer in a band, and some wacky scientist in his spare time. But the really weird thing about the film was he could drive his invention through a mountain!!! Like i said it has been a while since i have seen it. Very strange, but quite enjoyable film. It's worth a download if ever you see it. If you need to have a good laugh, that is! starcrunch
So come on then what's your fav sci-fi movie (no including Franchises). Has anyone here seen Dark City? I loved Dark City, the dude who played Mr. hand in that movie is the same guy who played Riff Raff in Rocky Horror Picture Show, which is one of my all time sci-fi favs. The Man Who Fell To Earth has always been one of my favorites, along with flash Gordon, for the kick ass Queen soundtrack. Loved the original Highlander movie too. I loved the david lynch version of Dune, that series of books without a doubt is my favorite. And yes I saw the new War of the Worlds and it was awful, the effects in it mind you were awesome, but the whole movie went so quick and the ending seemed forced and too abrupt. I mean it's like all of a sudden it just ends, I thought they could have drawn it out a little more than they did. Tom Cruise is good in anything though because he's got that Scientology philosophy. Has anyone ever read Dianetics? Oh and by the way L. Ron Hubbard sucks!
