dabrood
[x] Development of familiar characters I want to see people who would go through hell for each other, people who argue with passion but always respectful - and beeing just true. [x] Clever resolutions to difficult challenges Everything else bores me ;)

daffydk
The episodes should have a little of everything however I chose Futuristic Ideas because its for that reason why star trek became famous and thats why star trek stands apart from other series. Although its good to have clever resolutions, battles, characters, etc etc, you can find all these in other types of shows. What makes star trek stand apart is its futuristic ideas, time travel (part of futuristic ideas), interesting planets, interesting space ships with cool techonologies... Things that I think are really awesome is the medical technology, holodeck, beaming, replicators for food, etc etc. You cant find that stuff anywhere else. psheldrake1
What is the most important factor in a "great" Star Trek episode (regardless of series) To me. It's more over the concept that we will, some day, travel the stars. Just not soon enough.

Stranger
i think that falls under 'futuristic ideas'. ;) I suppose that depends on whether we will ever be able to travel faster than light or not. That trip to Alpha Centauri is going to take quite a while without warp speed capability. ;)
tronx
I think what make a good episode of star trek is when they meet new species or when they find some wierd thing out in space and it has some sort of effect on the crew of the ship. They eventually figure it out though but its fun to watch. I've been spending most of my time watching the new show "Enterprise" and i think that their episodes are cool but i heard that they were considering cancelling this show because of ratings issues. I also beleive that to make a good episode they have to do something to grab your attention and keep you watching. Furthermore i think they should rethink the opening song for "Enterprise" i think the rest of the show is cool and everything but that songs gotta go. I dont see how the show got into a fourth season without someone telling them to change it back to the original. But what really makes a good show is the story something that keeps you thinking. Zerotop
Picked other because i dont really know its a gut feeling for me.. usually its the star trek universe that intrigues but to make a episode good it has to indulge my senses in many ways.. though im a all eater so i can watch slow moments and fast moments with equal intrests. hmm did that make any sense to anyone hehe
eRRoRz
All is the best, that's why they go all in the movies, but in the series, they usually go two by two. B)

elderbear
It just amazes me that every one that dies doesn't bleed. I guess those beam weapons sort of cauterize wounds? Remember A Team? They expended over 2,000,000 rounds of ammunition before somebody (good guy or bad guy) was actually hit by a bullet (in the script, not real life)!!!
