ank329
The full length intros are being resotred on Sci-Fi for both SG-1 and Atlantis Source Personlly, I'm really happy, I hated the 10 second intros, it didn't have any dramtic flair to it. wahaha
It's just a stupid way for them to save air time, and money. Same way they crush the screen for ending credits so no one can read the damn info for the show.
BlackMage
ye i heard great news i really missed the intro's in the article they do mention that they were planning to use the extra time to put more scenes in the serie in the future.... atleast thats what they claim now
ank329
they had origanlly planned to use the extra time as more screne time, but then they just ended up using it for more commercials
Vyperion
Personally I think that even though they cut the intros I still find that there are episodes which end up being cut off before we get a proper finisher. Personally I thnik it's just a quicker and easier way for them to change main cast members without having to re-edit yet another title sequence. When Michael left to work behind the camera he was replaced by Jonas and then after one season he came back then Richard left this season so the editors probably said 'fuck it, let's just stick a Stargate animation at the beginning and keep it down to five seconds that way if someone else leaves we don't have to waste our time changing a thing' ;) I don't mind the short titles, I do mind Amanda Tapping being credited for the five episodes she didn't appear in and the cut-throat endings which drop-out leaving us to fill in the blanks.
wahaha
That doesn't explain the reason they cut the ending credits from some episodes. That crap pissed me off, and a lot of others complained to MGM. There was some info we wanted but since they had no end credits.. it's lost. Now I have to write a letter to the actor and or production staff to get it.
Centurion
I'm glad the intros will be back! They're great! :)
deeman
I'm also excited that the intros are going to be back. The music is great and it shows some of the best scenes from the show, especially useful when you are watching the show with someone who never watches it. ingenier03
The intro was one thing I always loved about watching every episode of SG1. Glad to hear its back.
Wazer
I personally prefer relatively short intros about 30 secs is fine by me some of the star trek intros were way too long about 2 mins which can be really annoying especially since programmers tend to cut straight to an ad break striaght after. :(
