GorunNova
... It's not half full OR half empty... the glass is at 50% capacity. Optimism and pessimism are just coloured glasses. The trick is to try and see what's really there despite the funky lenses... and we all wear something over our eyes B)

ZaphodiLe
Depends on how much it contained before. If it was empty it is now half full. If it was full and you drank from it, it is now half empty. IMO :)

elderbear
My glass is too small to contain the potential of my dreams - so I need a bigger container - regardless of the current fluid level in this one. Even so, no matter how large a container I come up with, I expect my "cup" to "overflow." Since I've got so much more on the way, I can offer to help fill anybody's "half-empty" cup from what I've got now ... ;)
GorunNova
Hey, no fair! You're not talking about glasses and water anymore, y'know... ;) THAT glass is always too small for most people, and only as empty as they think it is...
Pella
maybe the glass is empty, and it's how much you prefer to pour into it.

grillguy85
This Just In! Optimist drowned in half-full bath tub!! I prefer to be realistic, as in, the glass is half done.
wahaha
That sucks. I clicked to view results of the poll before making a decision, and it wouldn't let me vote when I came back, saying I already voted when I didn't! I would have voted half full. juhan
There is no glass. The glass only exists in our mind. Take it away, and you are left with a vessel containing the essence of life. Water. And that is all that matters. =Han=

GorunNova
You speak of emptiness as if it must always be filled ^^... sometimes emptiness and void are good.
MrDad
The optimist sees it as half-full. The pessimist sees it as half-empty. The engineer sees it as twice as large as necessary. The efficiency expert sees it as underutilized.
S0V13T
Pella, I'd hate to be a nucience, but can you post up a picture of the glass we're supposed to be debating? That would clear everything up, I think. And bartender, I'll take another Vodka and Ice, please.
