Obvious? I had no idea that she would be a Cylon. It was like... 'whoah'. Big surprise.

In all, a really good episode. Showing what life is really like aboard s military vessel. I especially liked the way in which they recorded the attack senquence, without any visual accounts of the battle, but solely the camera in the CIC.

The only thing that I'm not sure about is how the Cylons on Caprica manged to receive the whole transmition, as the final cut wasn't completed before the raiders were destroyed. Could this be another one of the very few continuity errors in BSG?

arse i spoiled the suprise by reading this before I watched it lol....

Actually if you watch it, it doesnt show the attack on the final cut i dont think, was great hearing the old theme tune on the report. Question is now that the cylons know that sharon has had the baby I dont actually think they will attack the Galacitica as they obviously dont want to kill the babyl.

I liked the episode because it was all about character development. We got to see some of the insights and emotions of some of the less prominent cast members. Most importantly, we got to see Adama's changing attitude toward the fleet. The Colonel is a really annoying character, I really hate him, but it gives life to the party, much in same way that the Doctor/Mr. VP does.

I was also quite surprised about the new cylon. I did get the sense that she was scoping out BSG. It made me think of the Star Trek TNG episode where the Klingons modify Geordie's visor so they can see the ship's shield frequencies.

What I find odd about the baby is that Shannon hasn't looked pregnant at all, so even if a baby was born, wouldn't it be so completely pre-mature that it wouldn't survive? I just find it annoying that they didn't even show her in the stages of pregnancy, yet they say she had a baby.

Overall, a very well done show with great character development and great use of the ensamble cast. The great thing about BSG is they don't tend to focus heavily on just one single character.

Maybe it was just the footage showing Boomer they got from the raiders. The edited footage they got from the open airwaves as it was broadcast to the fleet.

Great episode. I especially loved the use of the theme from the original series. I liked the way they started it very low and barley audible in the background and began building it up. When it first started it had me thinking "No, it can't be. Can it? It can't be the old theme." Fantastic. Roll on next week.

Just to clarify, it was in the movies Generations when the Klingons (or Soran) modifies Gerodie's visor.

And, the next comment, I do not believe that Sharon's baby has born at all, the idea hadn't even crossed my mind until it was mentioned her. When Helo went to see her, and there was blood coming from her, I thoguth then, and still do now, that it was the start of a miscarrige, and Doc Cottle saying that he was gonna try and save the baby was in terms of the embro, or fetus. It hasn't been that long, maybe only a month or two, maybe three since the child was concieved, so that is why Sharon doens't look pregnant yet, and the child wasn't premature, it appeared to be a miscarrige.

In my opinion, that is...

And, I also saw a new side to Lt Geta. The way he was in the interview really explained a lot of the way he had acted in teh past, and I never really thought I'd see him act like that. I guess the pressure of the situation has really hit home.

I didn't like this episode at all :( well except for when you find out the reporter is a cylon that was cool. I had trouble watching the rest of the episode, wanted to stop it so many times. I thought the script was way below quality, and that the whole episode itself was extremely unoriginal. Deffently my least favourite BSG episode. I hope it picks back up next ep i'm sure it will though, all the rest of the series has been great though. Just found through there effort to be creative they ended up just using the over-used journalist perspective episode. Could have been alot better with the same episode but filmed like a normal episode and not from the overused journalist camera view.

This was one of those "let's take a break from writing episodes". It seems that all scifi series have one of these news shows. I must admit though, the cylone ending tied it up a little. Looking forward to next episode. BSG is the best.

yeah the cylon thing at the end did tie it up. And it's not neccesarly the purpose of the cylons hidden in the fleet to break down morale or do bad things. We don't really know what the cylons want. Thats one of the great things about the show :)

My first thought on seeing the scene with the cylons is that they are nearby, perhaps somewhere in the fleet, or some short distance away.

Remember our first cylon that was thrown out the airlock - they can download each other's memories within some given distance. The cylons obviously know exactly where the fleet is at any given time, so there's no reason they couldn't just be hiding out following them around.

Of course that begs the question: Why don't the cylons just destroy the humans then? Maybe that's what the writers are trying to figure out with all this baby and God stuff.

Hi, there.

I liked the episode. My favorite segment was the cylon attack, being shown from the CIC and seeing all the coordinated effort of the crew.

And here we have one more cylon model (Xena!), I just wonder when she going to give us that scream... :p just kidding. By the way, I loved her accent.

Now, the Cylon plan is getting very complex, with all these undercover agents, the baby, and the god stuff. One point, people said it above, the baby was not born, it was said "it was saved". This makes me wonder if they had already tried the birthing of this cylon-human child, and then failed to do so. And now, with the doctor help they're getting it.
