I would say, after a shakey start, TNG was the best from the episode where they find the frozen humans, they meet Romulans for the first time in years, and they introduce The Borg. The very next episode we find out about a clandestine take over of star fleet and that REALY nasty Remic monster at the end when they shoot it! Fantastic. I thought the second season seemed more about sfx and details, but these were some very good episodes. For me in a away, TNG changed in its third season and we seemed to know all aliens we met already where as before it was more exploring the galaxy, the third and so on were more like policing the galaxy. But again, some of the best episodes cam from that season too. I can only really say I hated most of season 7, with the silly Borg and Lore and that one where they wore masks and talked about the sun. My favs would be every Q episode apart from the pilot, the ones with Roxanna Troy chasing picard. Oh and the final episode was very good too. Can watch it over and over again.

Oh yes and the only good TNG film IMHO was Fist Contact, they peaked with that and after, nothing matched up.

I loved the torture in Chain of Command... it was clearly a tribute to Orwell's room 101.

i don't really have favourite season it's like life i guess, there are good and bad tings in every season

Season 5 - we had the whole Romulan conspiricy thing at the start....also some other great eps throughout :)

I voted Season 3 - this season dealt with a plethora of interesting, engaging issues (Who Watches the Watchers, Vengeance Factor, Yesterday's Enterprise, The Offspring); other interesting, perhaps more eccentric episodes like Booby Trap and Menage a Troi were also great --- but of course the crowning jewel in this season is the first part of Best of Both Worlds --- few series have managed to pull off a season finale like that.

 

But, as many others in this thread before me have said...it's a tough call, TNG was the best ST series and it's always hard choosing.

I should have picked season 5 but i pick season 7 because of all goodthings. It always been my fav eps but seaosn 5 is my 5 season. "Lick the paint rigth off you ear" lol
