Tenebrae
Over the years, there have been many instances of the Star Trek universe being messed up by the crazy time traveling antics of the various different ships of Starfleet... but of all the various different timelines that we've seen played out - which is the most interesting? I have to say for me, it's easily "Yesterday's Enterprise". It was nice to see the Enterprise going all grim and gritty, an interesting storyline I thought - and of course it sparked the several subsequent Tasha appearances. Times Children was also quite interesting in it's own way. So, anyway opinions?
dabrood
"Tapestry" - The timeline in which Picard is just an ensign, after he "cleaned up" his own past with the help of Q.
queenhank
Three words: Year of Hell. That is, by far, one of the best Star Trek episodes of all time. Definitely the best alternate timeline.
queenhank
I, personally, liked that everything was reset. It made it so we, as an audience, could gain insight into the characters, insight which we couldn't gain without them being in certain situations. We, essentially, got to see what the worst thing is that could happen, and how they react to it. But, at the end of the day, only we, as the audience, were able to see that. The crew escaped completely unscathed. As for Kes, there are many very simple explanations for why nobody remembered that, my personal favorite being that Voyager was affected several times by the Krenim Timeship, and so all knowledge of the Krenim was accidentally erased - through the actions of the Krenim. queenhank
Well, they never explicitly showed that the knowledge of the Krenim was lost via a change in the timeline. However, they did show that Voyager was effected by those changes at the beginning of the episode, and so one could conjecture that the Krenim Timeship was indeed the cause. Not necessarily the explanation, but a possible one, and my personal favorite of the possibilities.
Tenebrae
I'd agree with the distinction between favourite and interesting. The Year From Hell was pretty cool but that Voyager hit the reset button (for the nth time) after it WAS a copout, to me at least. Not to mention the stupidity of having a time ship that couldn't go past warp 6... Although the timeship itself was pretty cool but the whole crazy captain thing, along with him keeping Chakotay and Paris around was idiotic and HORRIBLY cliche. Tapestry WAS a great episode - seeing how Picard thought that knowledge of his past could make it better and actually made it turn out awfully. Steveo
Well, the Temporal Cold War in ENT was worse everytime Daniels appeared. Anything involving time in Voyager was generally below par, save the Year from Hell. Both Yesterdays Enterprise and Tapestry were great episodes, but I'd have to go with Yesterdays Enterprise. Seeing Star Fleet finally get it's act together and face facts that war is bad and you need warships was a refreshng change. War is good.
Tenebrae
Thinking about it, Voyager seems to have had more than almost all the others put together. The ENT episode where we see what would happen without Archer kind of annoyed me. The insistence that Jonathan Archer was such a pivotal role in history was just kind of annoying after the 3rd or 4th time Daniels tells him not to go and do some mission.
