TetsuoShima
Yes, as far as the story and writers were concerned, Picard/Steward/Baldy certainly was the most privileged imho
GhostShadow
I just dont like the charachter Kirik Or the Actor. Kirik was kinda..uhmm... to daring. he did stuff that was really stupid and tried to be cool.... Sisko i like better beacuse he is smart and he knows when to stop and when to shut up. Kirk has done some stupid things in his career - for those in the UK - you'll recognise him in that cereal advert which really is rediculous

ifilmco
yea' date=' Picard was the best captian in my opinion. But the Crushers?? well i guess we all have diffrent tast. [/quote'] Well, yes...what I intended to convey was that I thought the actors were good, but that their characters often turned out disappointing because the writers of the show weren't very good at treating their roles. I'd probably agree with all those decisions except i'd replace Kirk with Bones - so much better i think. and i didn't like Chakotay really - the Doctor was much funnier

dabrood
Oh come on... what did you want? A series, in which the probs look even less sophisticated then in TOS? Five huge useless buttons instead of 10? More of the big red, yellow and blue "credit cards" they stick in strange sluts ... err ... slots? ;) Nobody would have liked that either. If i had my way - Enterprise would have been set in the near future of Voyager and would have just been about who things went on with the Voyager crew setteling in on Earth and also have how things went on with the DS9 crew :)
Tenebrae
I've said it before... but it's worth saying again. I think that the post-mortem on Voyager's withered husk probably made the producers think "Hmm, the problem with Voyager was that we used too much technobabble... we could address that by just getting some decent writers... WAIT! Let's set it before TOS! Think of the continuity violations we can achieve!" Or something like that. Or maybe they looked at the Star Wars prequels and thought that no matter how awful something was if you had hardcore fans and slap the word "prequel" on it, you can get a decent amount of money out of it. No offence TFMF but I can't really see "Voyager: The Follow-up" being a huge success... unless there were some nasty accidents for the former crew. Hahaha. That would be ace. NeverMalchik
I most agree with many of you, there is a lot of good characters. For my captain of choice, I will go for Picard, in my point of vue, the best image of authority. As bad guys, I should go for the Jem'Hadar, pure genitically evil engeneered beings. As goof character, I will go for Quark. As most impressive (in my point of vue), Vulcans especially Tuvok. Woman character... Torres, the duality she is living is interesting. The most original one: The Dax, great idea...

netshark
I have to admit that I only know voyager close enough to chose a favorite there, which is tuvok and kim. But I watched all the star trek movies and some episodes from enterprise (the new ones) and would say that picard and archer are better captains than janeway. I mean shes nice, but not suited to be a real commander, a wonder that she brought her crew home. Ridiculous that she still sticks to the directives in a that rough quadrant....but as a character independent from her decisions, she is probably the best captain ;)

(she demoted Tuvok in that episode because he traded for technology illegally that would get them home much faster) and perhaps she didn't perform realistically to the situations faced in the Delta Quadrent
