wesi
Is Harry Potter series considered Sci FI on this forum.? If not my apologies. If so why no discussion so far?
nuages
Where would it be considered Sci-Fi??? its like pure fantasy, nothing based on what if facts, its based on what if things were magical, which is the exact opposite, not that i don't like harry potter, i've quite enjoyed it, but wouldn't even consider that Science Fiction for a moment. quosego
Allthought this doesn't mean we don't all love the books and the movies... ;) No but it is really not even close to scifi, scifi has some association with science, harry potter hasn't.. That for me classifies it as non-scifi..
TetsuoShima
Not sci-fi at all as nuages and quosego say! But it is a nice diversion from sci-fi at times... My girlfriend REALLY likes it! :)
TFMF
we could say - upload this one film - but then everyone would be uploading everything they could find. No - lets keep it Sci-Fi
quosego
TFMF; Is it me or did you just made commodore??? Damn, 2 months ago I had more posts... I really have to post more... :)
Potato
Harry Potter is Fantasy. Just because they lump Sci-Fi and Fantasy together in Book Shops and Video sellers doesn't mean that they go hand in hand.
Chiggy
Harry Potter........cannot stand the bloke........the worst fantasy films ever made in the history of film making.......and lets be honest, they arent really mens films........chaps, you wouldnt stand up in the pub with a jar in your hand and shout "I`m a Harry Potter fan" would you? ........just my opinion, so dont forum slap me! My favourite fantasy film will always be Conan The Barbarian, not the rubbish sequel. When the big man gets voted out of office we will see the return of Conan, in 'King Conan'. If you want to see some good fantasy films with CGI watch Lord of the Rings.......however if you want see the ultimate fantasy film watch Conan.........because its a rip rawing. horse charging, blood fueled quest for revenge. ........and as Conan says in the battle of the mounds scene, "......and if you do not listen, then to hell with you!". karimw786
I am a BIG Harry Potter and Star Trek nut, and I can say for sure that Harry Potter ain't sci-fi. ...But that doesn't mean I don't like HP any less. ;)
GorunNova
Harry Potter? Sci fi? *chuckles*... That's like saying that a penguin is a blue jay (still a bird... just not the same sort of bird.) ... Harry Potter is good (talking about the books; haven't been keeping up with / have been unimpressed with the movies), but most definitely not sci-fi... TetsuoShima
MODERATION: Since everybody is in agreement that it is not sci-fi, that means the topic doesn't belong in the other sci-fi section and has consequently been moved to Ten Forward. str82u
...And since we've already figured ou it's not sci-fi, I'll just say I couldn't even begin to get into it, the kid pisses me off just looking at him, so I'm now one post closer to promotion. Thank You!
primehellix
It is a fantasy, all right... Though it would have been nice if we could do magic, don't you think? ;) :) .....chaps' date=' you wouldnt stand up in the pub with a jar in your hand and shout "I`m a Harry Potter fan" would you?[/quote'] Well, I would dress into uniform and I would stand up with a toy-phaser in my hand and shout "I'm a Star Trek fan!!!", so... why would it be ubnormal to see people shouting "I'm a Harry Potter fan!!!"? Annika
No - lets keep it Sci-Fi In that case... may I suggest that a moderator remove the Charmed-torrent that someone uploaded about an hour ago?
quosego
I would like to say that charmed rocks... :) But it really isn't scifi either..
nuages
Robot Chicken isn't exactly Sci-Fi either. EDIT: OKay this takes the caked, who cares about charmed or robot chicken or harry potter. Backgammon Tournament Pro. Deffently the least Sci-Fi thing i've ever seen.
Bapman
I don't get it... why do the torrents have to be kept here !? There's Torrentspy... torrentreactor... Isohunt. You can your mainstream stuff from there that are not related to SCI FI. By the way...does INDEPENDENCE DAY falls under SCI FI ?
