I doubt there will be another worthless try to satisfy an audience which obviously isn't open to experiments and fresh ideas.
VonHelton
It all boils down to money. The money spent on Star Trek could make 3 drama shows, tripling their income. What business wouldn't kill one show to get 3? :stare:
thanatos355
yeah, and who cares if the other 3 are crap and the one they kill is good? not the advertisers, that's for damn sure!

What business wouldn't kill one show to get 3? :stare: I stil disagree with this idea of saving money to make other shows. The advertisers like large numbers of people watching + specific audience. For instance if star trek is watched by 2 million male adults, certain advertisers like beer companies, etc would love to advertise there. Or Technology companies would love to advertise to Trekies becuase thats what they are into. They can make 100 drama's but it is not going to attract as many people and that kind of a specific group. Thats what I read in some of the articles. I speculate that they will come out with something totaly different. They might try to go with the formula that worked before like TNG and Voyager. New ship, faster, new aliens, more borg, etc. Thats what I am expecting.. They might not come up with it this comming fall, but maybe a year from now. NiteShdw
What I woud LOVE to see, is the last half of this season see a big rating jump, let UPN and CBS eat their words. Unfortunately, so many viewers were alienating in the first few seasons that I doubt many will tune in unless they have friends that watch it... bbbb
They let DS9 and Voyager drag on for 7 years. Enterprise isn't dragging anymore so it should stay in production.

Unfortunately, so many viewers were alienating in the first few seasons that I doubt many will tune in unless they have friends that watch it... The very first episode........Broken Bow. ......As soon as I saw that Klingon, I knew something was horribly wrong. I bet others did as well. But, that's not the show's fault, that was Bermann & Braga's fault. Can the bumblebees & keep the show running. Besides, when the whole Quantum Leap thing was fixed, I figured none of that stuff with Klingons, BORG, Earth being attacked, etc, happened. .....It's just a shame that 3 seasons were spent on non-canon stuff, and when Manny took over & fixed it, they can the show. I feel cheated & used, big time.

Elessar
Honestly I'd watch a show that takes place like 2-3 years after Nemesis, following the USS Titan with Cpt.Riker... Only one problem w/ that concept...You just KNOW, the Enterprise E and Picard would have to drop in once in awhile...But how in the HELL do you makePICARD a side character ?! daffydk
make him an admiral. All admirals rarely show up on star trek.
Elessar
That would work except, if you saw the deleted scenes after Nemesis, you noticed that the new 1st Officer is the guy who played JFK from Thirteen Days, a nobody, and they won't put him in command of the Enterprise...Maybe LaForge or Worf, they'd just kill off that 1st officer guy :)
lowen
hi guys.....quite frankly I'm gutted about enterprise being pulled. I mainly get them as they're released in the US. But for my fellow Britons without internet access and a star trek fixation, I'm sad. I've voted on the poll sites to keep it going, but surely they realise that the audience is a little bit wider than the US...more like worldwide....i've been watching since 1978....and i'm young (honest..lol)
