Some really great stories here, some of the best in the 70s imo. Too many to choose from, but I gotta go with the robots of death. It has a great story thats really well paced, great dialogue, good sets. A couple of really dumb sound effects :) some ridiculous costumes :) and a few amazingly ott performances.... oh yes, a classic for me :)

Fang rock does indeed have a fantastic atmosphere and indeed everyone dies apart from the doctor and companion, which makes it even more bleak, but the things kind of ruined for me with the rutan blob..it ruined the atmosphere for me im affraid.

yeah, fang rock is a classic as well; that would probably be my second choice by the narrowest of margins. A genuinely spooky atmosphere puts this in the top ranks, but the character interplay is not quite as punchy as robots of death imo.

Pity the sontarans nemesis werent used a little more often really, they are one of the non anthropomorphic beasties that dr who's budget managed to create.

OOOhh a three way tie and my favourite 'Horror...' not even in the running!!!!. I knew thisw as going to be a close one, but how do I decide between the three. All of them are excellent stories. As refereree I'm going to have to go with 'Robots' because, it's an excellent story and stylish. I still find the robot masks disturbing and gorgeous at the same time.

time to close this one then, part three on it's way.
