Guest Guest
Will other scifi shows die in the wake of Enetprise? Is the scifi shows being killed off bye the drama, reality and comedy shows?
eRRoRz
Well... with all this high-tech nowdays, Enterprise was almost reality, it's not sci-fi anymore. :cyclops: Except the light speed, we already have almost all of that.
killbenau
we should remember, these things come in circles, there are either to many science fiction shows, all none at all, if this is the end of sci fi today, a thirst for it would again grow, and we would than see new shows come to air.... I hope
VonHelton
Will other scifi shows die in the wake of Enetprise? Is the scifi shows being killed off bye the drama' date=' reality and comedy shows?[/quote'] Yep.......Sad to say. :( The industry as a whole is constantly harping about the cost of space-farring sci-fi. In their minds, the cost is not justified. Even with the advent of HDTV, which makes overall production cheaper, they still harp about the cost!!! :stare:

daffydk
As long as there are scie fi fans there will be science fiction. And it doesnt really mean that they wont make money from making more sciefi. Just look at star wars. Every movie they make, they bring in 100s of millions of dollars in the theatre. It all has to do with what kind of story, what kind of actors, what kind of audience is targeted and of course what kind of advertisement to get the word out to public. If they put Star Wars on UPN, I dont think it will get much of an audience either.

tronx
I think there will be another Star-Trek knock off coming soon anyways while we are waiting we can watch the last season of enterprise. But i hope that stargate atlantis sticks around for a couple of seasons i just don't understand why some people hate that show. I think this show has a lot of mystery about it. There in a whole new part of space away from the g'ould and the replicaters. As for Star Trek : Enterprise i think that show could have been salvaged. It would be cool to have a like CSI : Star Trek since thats what is hot right now just think of the possibilities. But thats just an idea. Also i would think about bringing Voyager back and Maybe DS9 im a different light.

Ulysses
I seriously doubt that sci-fi as a concept on TV will die, if anything the reality shows will go as people get bored with them, I know intrest in big brother here in the UK has dropped off. Sci-Fi on TV has been going for decades, from the really old black and white series such as Flash Gordon, buck rodgers, battlestar galatica, dr who, star gate and of course star trek. While there is a demand for Sci-fi there will be always shows, and that i cant see going away!!
bbbb
Less people will watch TV after Enterprise is cancelled. It will at the very least give Paramount some breathing room on how to bring back Kirk.

rcazant
It really is too bad that the Enterprise is being cancelled. I've always loved every Star Trek show there was, and I think that the newest series of Enterprise are really the best so far. good story-lines, excellent cast. And now I read about the show being cancelled? This really sucks. I'd rather see that Stargate show taken off the air, man that show sucks a great deal.
VonHelton
Anybody for Lost in Space episodes? If sci-fi is going the way of the Edsel, then yes. Lost in Space, Buck Rodgers, Flash Gordon, all of it. .....Besides, I need something to watch on my TV if I decide to get rid of cable! I watch the Weather Channer, Fox News, the History Channel, TLC, HGTV & whatever Sci-fi is available........That's it. I don't have any need to see reality shows or soap operas, although I confess to liking Dark Shadows with Barnabus Collins. :D
Guest Guest
My fear is that the drama shows an so on. has lower production costs. And whit the same amount of people watching the shows as scifi shows the networks will make the show whit the lowest cost.
