We know that can adapt to photon projectiles.........which are supposed to be anti matter explosions. Surely the energy created by the detonation is kinetic energy? lol otherwise they would be a useless weapon. As I keep on saying over and over again on this forum why is it worf can hack and slash the borg yet they dont adapt..........they should adapt with better armour or at least shield that can deflect such blows.......but it doesnt happen. I see no difference between photon detonations and Worf wacking the Borg with a phaser rifle.......both are kinetic???!!!!????? Does this mean a Roman Army from the 1st Century could beat the Borg? Well.....in first contact we know that the Borg can take over Earth in the 21st Century.......they have bullet firing weapons............ Damn Star Trek is messing with my mind! Too many contradictions! I think you are overstating your point. The Borg Can adapt to Photon Topredos with thier ships... if you shot a borg drone with a photon Torpedo, it would blow up... They adapted with better sheilds on their ships probly or better armour agints the torpedos. You would not be able to put a single sheild on a single drone that would be strong enough to stop a torpedo, it would be way to many resources. And metal is as only strong as its mass.Its all about the potential energy being stored before the kenetic energy is released. So you are saying that the potential energy in worfs right hand is equal to the potential energy in a photon torpedo... The borg use the same concept as the Romulans do, large ships. This is very important beacuse with a large ship you can take more damage. The Romulans have large warbirds so that they can last longer in a fight, same with cubes. A ship the size of a 'run about' can not be as strong of a warship as a wair bird. it is a case of size does matter here. That is why they can stop a torpedo. And a Roman army most likely could stop a borg invasion. The Romans where the best of the best. they where the most elite fighting force on earth at that time and they used physical attacks, some thing the borg use as well. A roman soldier would probly be able to hack down several Drones with out getting assimilated. Dont under estimate the power of the Romans, lol. But I still stand next to my argument, the borg drone would not be able to Stop an RPG, or even a tank. The drone would need equpment from the future to do this task.
