StarTrek:ENT Season 4

I was just watching Enterprise Season 4 and watched those 2 episodes towards the end. They were the two most random episodes I've ever seen. Where Earth attacked the Vulcan's in Bozeman, and Archer and Forest were battling for the captain's post. What the hell was that all about. And then they find that StarFleet ship from the future that looks a lot like a ship from TOS, and then they wear those ridiculous outfits almost justlike in TOS. Is there any backstory to this episode or ? I just got totally confused by it.

You have the right to be confused because those two episodes were totally random. They are referred to as "Mirror Universe Episodes", and hence, they have nothing to do with continuity of the Enterprise series. You gotta admit though, they were quite fun. That "Evil Hoshi" was quite hotttt!

Ok so I haven't seen any other Star Trek series except the Enterprise and I think I finally get it now. ENT is the very first in the timeline of Star Trek series isn't it ? I mean the last episode of Season 4 finally made me think....wow this is weird, the ship seems so much more modern than any of the other ones in the Star Trek series, but why do these hippie looking, cheezy guys from Next Generation review their history. This is going to be so odd watch the other Star Trek series and having to put up with the early 90's and 80's sets but still keep in mind that they are actually farther into the future than Enterprise was.

Am I correct or am I still confused as all hell ?

Is there any more episodes that are going to be made past Season 4 ? It didn't seem like it from the last episode, but thought I'd ask.

Also which serious would you recocomend watching next after seeing ENT. ?

As has been alluded, you shouldn't watch anymore as there aren't anymore (yet). But to be helpful, I would recommend watching all in sequence (with possible exceptions). TOS (all 79 episodes), then TNG (176 episodes?). But you need to watch DS9 starting at the point in TNG where DS9 began. You could wait til watching all of TNG and DS9 before watching Voyager.

Ideally, you'll watch the 22 animated TOS episodes before anything else after the TOS 79.

Yes, it's a little sad that Ent. ship "looks" more advanced that it's successors. It's due to being made in our day vs. Kirk's Enterprise created in the '60s. But it might help to keep in mind that Kirk's ship held over 400 crew and Picards over 1000, vs Archer's 80 somthing. The ships are definitely bigger further in time. (Voyager being an exception as it was designed differently.)

It's really too bad you watched any of Ent. before seeing all other ST. Even though it was a prequel series, the writers presume an all-encompassing knowledge of Trek history and lore. Which you obviously don't have. Of course if you're too young, that's not your fault.

... Where Earth attacked the Vulcan's in Bozeman...
I trust you *HAVE* seen Star Trek First Contact the movie, right? If you haven't you really should have. In TOS episode "Metamorphosis" we meet Zephram Cochrane. We meet him again in 2060 in First Contact (movie). What you saw was the evil "mirror" universe counterpart. "Mirror" referrs (initally) to an episode of classic TOS called "Mirror, Mirror". The concept of the parallel "evil" universe continues decades later in DS9 a few times. What you terribly saw out of context was this same "mirror"-evil universe way back in Archer's time. But it had amazing interaction with a TOS episode "The Tholian Web". So I hope you can see that to properly appreciate Ent. you HAVE to watch all the star treks first. (Or just the few episodes I mentioned. But for best effect, don't do that; watch all the series and movies as described in my earlier post.)

Btw, don't watch ST 7 Generations (movie) until you've watched TNG the series. Keep the movies in right sequence w/the various series. Maybe the published stardates would help you. (s.b. easily found on the web)

It's not that I'm young and haven't seen the older Star Trek stuff, I'm actually not really even into the sci-fi stuff, well I guess I am now. My girlfriend made me watch Star Wars Revenge of the Sith and I thought it was the worst piece of shit movie ever made, so just to irritate her, I downloaded some Enterprise, and I liked it right away, o I watched it and watched it and...yeah now I'm here. Thanks for the answers though. I've only really seen Nemesis and thats about it for Star Trek movies.

On a funny note, I actually just moved back to Seattle from Bozeman, MT haha. Just thought that was amuzing when I saw it in Ent.
