IDM
So far I know of Enterprise, The Next Generation, Voyager, Original Series, Deep Space Nine and uhm thats it. Recently I also noticed there is The Hidden Frontier. Are there any other ones ? To refresh the memory I've started my Star Trek addiction with Enterprise, which I was told is unfortunate but nonetheless a good start. I'm right now in the middle of Season 2 of Star Trek The Next Generation, and I like it quite a bit, it has somewhat of a corny side to it, but a lot of little jokes and humor here and there which is quite refreshing from Enterprise I suppose. But either way i guess my question is are those that I listed all the branches of the Star Trek series or are there more ?
TFMF
Yes the corny side to TNG goes away when you get to Season 3/4. You covered all of the ST series's yes except there was also an Animated Series based on The original series of Star Trek. But there are also movies and lots of fan based series as well such as The Hidden Fronteir but i don't really like watching those
IDM
Oof yeah nevermind, I just took a look at the Hidden Frontier, and hm no offence to anyone but it is pretty terrible. There is such a thing as fan series but there is also another thing such as good acting. Hm well nonetheless I guess it's people behind their interests. I'd say i'm a Star Trek fan, but I wouldn;t go as far as creating my own series. I did however start modeling a Federation ship in 3DS the other day heh, trying to make a cool new version of it. Unfortunatelly my texturing skills leave me to hope for only the best, but we'll see how it turns out.
GhostShadow
yeah there are a lot of non-cannon ST fan made films. like Trekkies or what ever its called, and Hidden frontier, and new voyages, and probly a few more that i dont know about. but TNG, DS9, TOS, ENT, VOY are very far from being the only branched of Star Trek. I mean that if you like to read, then the books are great. Some are corny written by fresh from collage, think there all that and a bag of chips, new writters that make lame books, but the majority is great. you can look around at www.simionsays.com/st for books. Annika
Trekkies is a documentary. Pretty scary stuff though... :D
bloodlust022
I envy you just getting started with Trek. All the episodes are new to you and you've got a long way to go until you see everything. My opinion of The Hidden Frontier is mixed. When I was the torrents for THF seasons I downloaded an episode off their website. It was the season 6 finale. It was alright. It has the feeling of Trek. But you do have to bear with the acting, lame effects, and backgrounds. I downloaded season 1 and if this was the first episodes that I watched I'd think it was crap too. The shows get better as the seasons go on. But first you should just watch all the official stuff. Have fun.
