Marcroft
Yeah Sheriden took several sqabbling alien races, whereas Sisko involved an Empire. Which sounds more impressive??? '''I got these bunch of small people together with major help - I manipulated an Empire to do what needed to be done.''' Sisko definitely. As for him having the prophets, yes they made a dominion fleet disappear - and several listening posts for that matter - so yes they were covering Sisko's ass that time. Sheridan however had Delenn and the strength of the Minbari fleet, Sinclair manipulating the Minbari Race to help in the next war. Sheridan had G'kars Narns when he broke away from the Earth Alliance (as well as the minbari fleet and several EA ships) and the aid of the Vorlons to win the support of the minor races in the first major battle against the Shadows. Help from the first ones when the Vorlons went mad and blew everything shadow related to bits. And Lorien brought Sheridan back from the Dead. Hmm - who's had a little more help??? Jounin
I think Garak beats them both. Don't forget that it was Garak who came up with how to bring the Romulans into the alliance.

jhug666
some say ooh the prohphets helped to beat the dominon, to them i say that sisko thought to get the prophets involved, he thought on his feet, and first took the defiant in and secondly got them involved. sisko, picard & Janeway. Exterus
I think Tuvok should get at least an honourable mention.
Tenebrae
His tactical treknobabble was the best, no doubt. Although obviously all treknobabble is bad. Unless Data's saying it.

His amount of technobabble wasn't significantly larger than anyone elses, if you ask me.
yudd
i vote for Garak too, he manipulated everyone for 7 years, in the end, he got to be ruler of cardassia after it was bombed into the stone age by the Dominion (DS9 novels). He also manipulated Odo, Dr Bashir and all the others. I loved his lunches with Bashir and he was the one who came through with bringin the Romulans into the war by going all the way where Sisko would not. He also tried to kill the founders by trying to manually launch quantum trpedoes of the defiant onto them. His only weakness: Enabrin Tain Best moral: Boy who cried wolf "Never say the same lie twice"
