mic Posted February 16, 2005 Share Posted February 16, 2005 It is great guys you are getting the massage we need direct action to get our massage across… It is very hard to point out to these greedy execs at UPN and CBS what show is seen by large audience numbers if they trust core to outdated system of show ratting… Now we did letter campaign and we did send some e-mails to (they all could just be falling directly to the wastebasket for all we know) and even few of us called UPN and tried to get to this bozooes who run UPN and CBS, but to our desperate pleas none wanted to give us answer or respond to our questions and outcries… It is no wonder they don’t respond to us, they ce as us freaks and nerds, geeks and losers, I bet you they smile in there lofty offices as we speak here and contemplate how to undermined every forward step we make… The fact we have star trek fans who actually don’t care about enterprise and helping the show doesn’t help either (at least we know they are not true star trek fans if they where they would help as I as sure we would if they needed help). I am only thinking now how to get best possible PR cue… What would make UPN re-think its policies after all they do depend on us viewers to watch there shows? Naturally we could all say we are gong to do this and that but actually doing is all different matter. So first think we should be a strong massage to UPN, as soon as Enterprise finishes in May I am cancelling my UPN subscription. And I would point out that if 500 000 ppl cancel there subscription with UPN – it will give a strong massage to UPN not to say if 3 million ppl leave UPN it will bankrupt the network… Now demos and rally against UPN and CBS… If do it on 25th it is very important we get numbers, we must organise with LA Star trek Fan Club and surrounding cities – San Francisco, San Diego, Pasadena and so on… Star trek fans coming from out of the state should be help with accommodation – let them stay with LA Star trek Fans in LA county. Those that can afford to say in Hotels should be forthcoming in helping those that can’t afford the price of hotel but could contribute to the cost of hotel room… Demos must pull minimum 5000 trekies for the demos to have strong massage to UPN… For this LA star trek Fans must be alerted to spread the word and if possible all over the state… We must get our acts together and call TV and Radio station alerting them that we are organising the demos in LA against the UPN to get in touch with Organising committee and make sure where and when to come… And also we should consider we would need to rally for at least 3 days before the UPN leeches would want to talk to us… Signing of Mic \V/ Live long and prosper :cyclops: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You are going to get nowhere fast if you don't realize that they don't have to do squat and the only way to get them to agree is to show them the profits (because they are only seeing losses right now) They are in this for the money like everybody else. Greed makes the world go round, if there was no money in Star Trek then it would die, that's what happens to shows that suck. The reason they have quite pumping millions into THIS show is because Trekkies have turned Star Trek into a religion and HATE anything but perfection. So nobody watches the show, and if nobody watches the show I don't expect them to keep pumping money into it. I love Enterprise but apparently I am in the minority of Trekkies. It sucks, but its life... hopefully SciFi will pick it up. BTW its "message" not "massage". And could you please resize your pictures for those of us not running 1280x1024? And could you please resize your pictures for those of us not running 1280x1024? actually they are making loads of money on the show, over-seas sales pay for the show alone, US sales are all profits each episode UPN airs makes 5 millUS$. An episode costs 1.8 mill with marketing and distribution costs. Now you do the maths... and Nielsen rating are all screwed up – they are all made up depending who’s got bigger pocket to pay Nielsen to portray better ratings for there shows. Look at tivio ratings and you'll ce top 100 shows on US TV, enterprise is 25th most popular. Now I would think this is loads of money for anyone and if you UPN where to loose money (just if) why o why they keeping the lose making show, after all Sci-fi, Sky One (fox) and Canadian TV can come together as they did on many other projects and co-finance the enterprise them self’s,. Something UPN clearly don't want nor wishes to happened,... Now ask your self what massage does UPN sending us fans and viewers, and how we to read this and understand, accept or even agree to it when clear hippocracy exist with in UPN... Are you from UPN? cose I don’t need to listen your negative preclusions.
