Pendrake
i dont know. it would be cool if it were true that they were artificially created but i think that that hope somewhat clouds our judgment in determining whether or not they are. From the views. It could have been buried, then exposed by wind.
xtremeskiing
living on a beach, looks like dunes to me. that valley they are in probably channeled the winds, patterened just like a dune.
Relentless
Perhaps it's VonHelton's scarf ;)? Just kidding. But the posibility of it being a tunell is ... sorta small from the looks of the picture it doesnt look very big. At the very least it could be some sort of unique formation of rocks. I mean wouldnt the cataclysm be vast with meteorites and in vast quantaties, I mean from what I've seen in Kohan if you use a cheat to make a cataclysm you'r looking at about 97% destruction

Note how this tube has worked loose from its foundation. This tube appears to have been exposed to sudden, extreme heat, deforming its shape. :stare:

VonHelton
Omfg :o They should be stopped!!! Don't panic.......I'm confidant that if there were any of their civilizations on Mars, the asteroid hit probably wiped them out...... Still.......It might not be a bad idea to be armed if we explore the underground caverns or the Mars Grand Canyon. .....Just in case. :stare:
xtremeskiing
Von Helton, you actually surprised me by asking that, but being you asked: The Mayans were an ancient civilization in south america, their are most well noted for their cities of gold (literally, cities made of gold). Unusually, as compared to other native american civilizations, they utilized a pyramid architecture and it is believed that they may have participated in trade with the egyptians, supported by the presence of THC in egyptian mummies. At the time, cannibus sativa only grew in the new world, and the presence of egyptian style buildings in south america further supports this. Additionally, the mayan's were highly advanced, comperable to the greeks in europe. It is the mayan discovery that prompted the old world take over of the new world. As for sacrafices, it is believed, like most other civilizations that they did participate in human sacrafice, and possibly the shamens did eat the heart of the sacrafice. When conquered they showed off their sacraficing to try to scare off the invaders, by no means did they sacrafice on a mass scare, nor was cannibilism wide spread in their culture, limited only to the few sacrafices, if at all. They were very similar to the aztecs, but had a lot more gold and were more advanced.
