Well we've reached the 2005 series and only a handful of stories to go. To Flesh out the David Tennant poll I will include, Dimensions in time, Curse oF the Fatal Death, and The 8min Children in Need special.

My vote went to "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances", this was one of those great spooky, scarry, creepy, intellegent, edge of your seat kinda sci-fi stories, I just loved it.

Shouldn't # 3 & 4 read:

The Unquiet Dead

The Aliens Of London/Word War III

Just a quick question' date='....is there any reason why Aliens is paired with Unquiet? I would vote (Unquiet is my favorite) but as Aliens is my least favorite........ :)[/quote']

That would be a mistake by me - a typing error :o Work on the the basis that the unquiet dead is one story and World war 3 is the story with the slitheens

sorry.

Thanks Pella..didn't want to make any assumptions if it weren't for the fact that I just dyed my hair brown I might chalk it up to my blondeness....maybe they did go together.....

So a vote for Unquiet...followed closely by the TEC/TDD :)

voted for the empty child. It was a pretty good episode. the ending was somewhat overly sentimental, something I feel has marred much of this season, but it had a few awesome moments and a nice murky atmosphere. Would be good to see a few more like this!!

Voted for Unquiet. I liked Parting of the Ways better but Bad Wolf less, so Story wise I think POTW suffers from the "Bad Wolf scenario." I finally managed to see them all, just in time for them to arrive on Sci-Fi here...I'll still watch them there though.

My 14 year old daughter really got into it. I came home one day and she was watching Father's Day. I asked what else she had done while I was gone and she said she'd also watched the Empty Child. Her Favorite though appears to be Parting of the Ways. Even my wife, who hates Who, has watched several episodes. She says she thinks CE is good looking; I think she's stoned.

Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways

Simply - amazing! I thought it was a great idea how 'Bad Wolf' was spread throughout the season - and yet we had no idea what it meant - and it wasn't explained untill now - And seeing the Daleks again - a whole fleet of them was amazing - seeing their army of Daleks flying through space and boarding the station. And even when they were all destroyed at the end - it wasn't like Star Trek with the Borg - The Daleks were still feared even after that defeat.

Those were the perfect Doctor Who eps!

Didn't know what to vote for. Rose brought the Doctor back to us, Empty Child/Doctor Dances was an excellent story regardless of how you want to classify it, The Unquiet Undead terrific. But in the end, I went with Bad Wolf/POTW because of the story, the Daleks, the whole Bad Wolf mystery, and an excellent regeneration.

I like Father's Day. Its nice to see Doctor Who using his time machine in a way that most of us would think of using it... to visit people and places that are personally important to us.

Its also an interesting episode because the Doctor's plan to save the day ultimately fails, leaving the solution to the simple common folk that he values so strongly. Its a good character building episode in my opinion.
