lightbeam
My fav line from Galaxy Quest: 'So you managed to get your shirt off.' I think GQ added another layer to TOS and I agree that it is very camp, but that is it what makes it sometimes enjoyable. Still nothing beats a decent story and some good CGI. :D
elderbear
Galaxy Quest was a nice movie. I havnt seen it for ages though. One of my favorite comedies. I think that Shatner has finally found the perfect vehicle for his abilities and personality as (The Practice's) Boston Legal's Denny Crane. (Besides, it's fun to see him with "Oto" every Sunday night!)
lamp
i love galaxy quest, especially when crewman no:6 is convinced he's going to die because he wasn't important enough to have a second name. it's so true every episode some poor ensign in a red shirt on the landing party would get killed. is i was an ensign, every time i was called up for a mission where i was the unimportent expendible person, i'd pretend to be sick. or i steal a shuttle and get the hell out out of there! xtremeskiing
As you all know, im watching every trek in chronological order starting with enterprise (obviously, im slightly out of order being there are still a few new archer eps) Now im on the 3rd season of TOS.....kirk is a much better actor, but he still sucks, and the writers have taken to killing off hundreds of people at a time instead of just "Crewman #6"

kyran
lafff ? i thought keptin kirk was great when i watched it in 69 so i think it's prolly the style of acting but then the sets were bad too you get what the technology gives you and in tos it gave nothing at all i liked him then i like captain kirk in new voyages too he's even worse and thats only last year lol www.newvoyages.com when you finish laughing at the action watch it again the story line is great :D and galaxy quest was good too i actually bought the tape :) (second hand ) cos the download was so poor
Relentless
the download was not poor! It was ummm in need of improvement but it was great. The music was louder than the character's voices. Galaxy quest is quite enjoyable. I first saw it on my mom's vhs tape.
bbbb
I saw Shatner in an old 1961 Nuremberg movie as an army captain, and he looked a lot cleaner then than he does now!
Vektram
Galaxy Quest - Brilliant movie. Shater, I dunno, he's started bringing out terrible CDs as well!

Vektram
Hmmn... after watching a few things with him in i've realised that his acting is amusing... does that count as him being good? :p

He plays a senior law partner who is extremely narcissistic and suffering from early-stage Alzheimer's. He plays a tragi-comic, extremely human character, full of foibles and extremely lovable.
