If only Enterprise would of been different!!!

I think that it would be hard to put the ENT in the time of VOY and DS9 b/c the Dominion war. I mean, war is flipping awsome, but you can do only so much with it. And I think that it would be weird seeing a fed/dom alliance. They never really allied. they just stopped fighting.

But I liked ENT in that time, it was just to much like TNG and TOS though.

hey cbosdell! hows the writing going?

its weird for me to see "fans" for enterprise as in my opinion it never measured up to a 10th of the other series, but maybe its my generation, i dunno

its just to me the characters seemed more real and and the stories were generally great. i do admit the series had it failings and many of the scripts from season one and two shouldn't have been used (Oasis, Rogue Planet, Fortunate Son, Civilization, Precious Cargo, The Seventh, Aquisition, Extinction and Daedalus) are the episodes from Enterprise I didn't like. The rest were excellent imho.

Yeah ok - see what you mean - much of ENT was good - just a few eps that dragged it down. As i have said before - season 3 was great - Season 4 was really good.

But i think you will agree - the first couple of seasons of most trek series aren't the best... Rest is great though :p

I loved how Enterprise started though... Fight or Flight was a great episode (compaired to other series, first episodes..)

Were the Aliens who attacked in that episode, Breen btw? As there are many similarities... I just thought of that, and by coincedence i saw someone wondering that on a different website too....

The real problem for me was that despite the fact they were total noobs, they were - generally - able to hold their own. I suppose that's a rather inevitable problem regardless of tech level though. Character shields are all but impenetrable. Fight or Flight was a good example of this though, they manage to bang out something that sees them through... but that's to be expected.

Were they Breen? I think the short answer is - we'll never know.

If the maps I've seen of the Alpha Quadrant are halfway accurate, then Breen territory is a long way from Earth. In the order of hundreds of light-years... not that distances remain constant in Trek. Anyway, they'd have been a long way from home but their MO wouldn't have been out of keeping with the Breen's.

The ship has a vaguely similar design... and of course the aliens were wearing those Mars Attacks! helmets...

But given the sledgehammer subtly of the continuity links, I don't think it was envisioned. Archer would probably have said something along the lines of:

"I don't think we should TURN OUR BACKS on that unknown species."

or maybe...

"I sure hope those aliens don't team up with a race from the Gamma Quadrant in 200 years time."

or even - if Brannon Braga was feeling particularly frisky.

"Those aliens left a note it said "We are the Breen!""

Actually the aliens weren't shown at all i think... I think your confused with Silent Enemy... (which was a nice episode as well imo)
