TFMF
Who got lost? That makes it easy. in all fairness - i don't think that could have been helped - it's when she keeps destroying every oppertunity to get back home that makes it easy :)
Tenebrae
There's a question... I shall form a thread on such.
Guest c4evap
Janeway also passed on a couple of oppurtunities to have Q take her home - seemingly because she wanted to "get home without cheating" or something. And yes, when c4 gets to this thread I imagine we will be suitably educated as to Janeway's superiority. I'D APPRECIATE IT IF YOU'D ALL QUIT TRYING TO BAIT ME! I don't go around this board dropping your names in a sarcastic manner - I'd appreciate like treatment! c4 :(
Amnot Borg
Of all the Trek series, Voyager is the only one I just didn't watch all the way through. Sure, some of Janeway's decisions weren't so great but other captain's screwed up too. I guess without seeing their IQ tests from SF Academy, choosing either is not possible. Both saved their ships in many ways. Both endangered their ships several times. Luck played a huge part in survival for both captains. I guess I have to choose Captain Sulu. hehehehe
SirFur
to be honest i dont really like either o 'em, well i havnt seen much of picard so i cant reallty say much o him, bt he does look like the one on the lead though, he jus feels so much mature, and experienced and looks as if hes part of ateam janeway on the other hand (im only up to season 3 disc 3, so i might change my opinin) feels as if shes an outsider to the crew, and she doesnt gel well with the crew, there is none of that close realtions with the crew as there is in picards crew or kirks = bt to be frank id only vote for James T kirk, he has to be my favourite character, and i love the way he is in command and his superior behaviour at all times (which leads to a hell of a lot of dire situations, that he always finds a cunning way to get out of) = his command style is absolutely unique and imo no other commander/character can compare to it

Janeway had a great rapport with her crew! She cared about them as if they were family (and, indeed they thought of themselves that way) and they cared about her. That's exactly what I do like about Voyager and Janeway...the closeness, the caring and sharing. TNG had it. TOS had it. DS9 had it. ENT even had it. It's part and parcel of the Star Trek universe. IMHO. c4 B)
Tenebrae
The secret of the Federations success? They're one happy family. Sadly, Rick Berman edited out all the hugs because he's a bad man. Janeway was easily the closest with her crew... but that - as seen in the interplay of Chakotay and Janeway - compromised her ability to captain. Still, I think it's fair to say that if you're living together on a ship for 7 years together with no prospect of getting home anytime soon, that that is hardly surprising - or unwanted.
