Amnot Borg
Austrek May 2006 "Austrek : The Museum Experience May 2006 will go down in Austrek history as one of the biggest events for the club, and our 30th anniversary is a perfect time for it to happen. As part of the Melbourne Museums "Community Collections" program, Austrek will have a display at the Museum for the entire month of May. There will be parts of Austrek history on display as well as many Star Trek collectibles. We will be there each weekend in costume handing out flyers, hosting discussions and generally having fun. If you are able to help us out during this time please get in contact with us."

hayden
lol.. i should do that, force them into a compromising position some how and have my hidden video cam taking it all in.. then sell it to them for a moderate price (one million dollarrs mwahahahaha) lol. You need a train to get around in Sydney? Wow, bigger than I thought. i dont know how big citys are over the rest of the world, but sydney is huge, well i think it is. i live on the out skirts and it takes me 45 minutes to get the CBD every day, the place this conv. is at is another 20 minutes. but still, i could be wrong. ahah
Amnot Borg
I meant that I assumed(yes, I know the jokes) that you'd take a car instead of a train unless the city was HUGE. Whatever. Have FUN.

Amnot Borg
Perhaps they have higher travel and hotel costs for the special guests than if the cons were held in the U.S.? I'm sorry, I have no ideas why it seems so high. We could email them and ask.
hayden
perhaps, but they could say anything really..
Antipodean
It's a market economy folks - people will always charge the maximum amount they can get away with, as long as others are prepared to pay that price. I'm just not one of thems as would fork out so much. I'd go up to $100 maybe... but beyond that? nahhh
Guest c4evap
That's my limit as well - about US$100. I remember as a "younger person" ;) it was real cheap and you even got autographs FOR FREE (gasp!). I am hoping for one to be close to me this summer. Just hope it's not too expensive (prolly will be *sigh*). c4 B)
