The ship was the Prometheus and the ep was in Season 4 of Voyager - Message in a Bottle :)
Tenebrae
They should have used the hologenerators to do something useful - like stop the Romulans killing them. That or the obvious pornographic implications... or maybe THAT's how the Romulans caught them off guard. Any screencaps of the Prometheus bridge? I've totally forgotten what it looked like and can't seem to find any good ones.

Tenebrae
Yeah, I saw that one but it's not the actual bridge - it's a reconstructon in some kind of "computer".
hayden
yea its similar heres anotherone.. there might be better ones again. but i dunno
Tenebrae
Ah, much better - thanks. Given the frequency with which people are thrown out of their chairs, the steps seem like a bad idea... Otherwise, it reminds me quite a lot of the Defiant, except it's a full 360 instead of just 180 and obviously has the lowered centre, rather than a raised captain's chair. TFMF
I'm getting a High Traffic costs have forced me to disable hotlinks message on that image. But going by the other image - i can only see a few stations - i mean is the First Officer meant to stand?
hayden
perhaps, they havnt always had a seet for the first officer. And the ship is designed for deep space tactical missions- so you would think that the 1st officers time wouldnt be bette suited somewhere else rather that sitting next the captian while he/she could be running an unmanned station of sorts or directly controlling another section of the ship in multi-vector attack mode. TFMF
Oh yeah i suppose - there would have to be 3 bridges on that ship - but then the Doctor was able to control the 3 sectioins with the computer so whether it'd be necissary or not...
Tenebrae
You'd probably want to have the other bridges crewed in the event that your enemy demonstrates enough common sense to start jamming communications or hacking your wireless ethernet. If you want the link to work, copy and paste and give it a hard refresh, it should work then.
hayden
you could even seperate all sections and crew them all and send them off to do different jobs for a single mission. increase efficency and tacticle advantage. makes sense. ;)
Tenebrae
IMO, it's questionable as to how practicable the multi-vectored attack would be in combat. Clearly, there are advantages to having a single ship that can be in three places for a mission but in combat, one has to assume that the energy production of the three smaller parts will be lower than that of the whole - hence, all the sections will have less shields and less weapons. hayden
true, but all sections would specialise in certain weapons and could direct them at appropriate targets. given an even more tactical advantage. and assuming that a normal vessel would have no where near the armourments that the prometheus has they would not be able to defend against three highly manouverable armed vessels.
