MindTrick
Wow. I mean, wow. I didn't actually think this was going to go through. WIth this kind of support, Paramount defently has some thinking to do.
Duggie
Does anyone know the total of the donations?
MindTrick
should be something around 3 067 000 with that nice little chunk of change donated today :)

Duggie
should be something around 3 067 000 with that nice little chunk of change donated today :) very nice chunk of change. I would think Paramount is looking into a 5th season with 3 mil being dropped into there laps like this. I dought they thought that there would be anything like this donated. Weyoun
That is awsome! I wonder though, how much does it take to make a season of Enterprise? Does anyone know?
wahaha
Way more than 3 million will cover.
Duggie
Way more than 3 million will cover. But it is heck of a down payment.
xtremeskiing
I would rather see sci fi get this money as a bribe to pick it up. Don't send it back to those jerks at UPN
jabbrass
It's great isn't it!? But, it can't stop here. We need more donations like this. Surely you guys can help in ways you haven't even thought about. Contact businesses in your area and ask them to make contributions. Especially look in the area of science. Many scientists today were inspired by Star Trek. They would be the most willing to keep Enterprise alive. You can help... you never know, you could help bring about the next 3 million dollar donationl!! STAR TREK LIVES!!!
LoveTrek001
I am doubting that 3million will go far. I remember that a TNG episode was 1 million each. And so, ENT would be MUCH more...
Duggie
Sorry for its size I was in a hurry to let everyone see this information and wanted to get it from its source. TrekUnited.com

Elessar
He can't say more but I can... I may be acting paranoid but JUST IN CASE it's sensitive information keep it to yourselves From an unofficial source, just pretend I don't know anything... I got info from somebody that *might* be at TU ..Then again they *MIGHT* not ;) if you know what I mean. That Paul Allen and Richard Branson are the other possible donors, if TOm is talking about somebody else I don't know of it...But that's the rumor, the donors of the $3 million are common commercial spaceflight donors, as are Branson and Allen - and so they all knew each other personally. Presumably in the coming days and weeks TU and the 3 mill donors will be pursuing donations from Allen and Branson. **** And the official figure is that it costs $32 million to produce one full season of Enterprise at the current budget... But don't forget guys, we're not literally stuck to the idea of paying for the ENTIRE season, if we even could get $32 million I'm betting that UPN or Paramount is going to come to their senses before then, say around 4, 5, 6 million and say "Ok ok, we get the point already, you can have season 5" and take the cash. At 3 million we've got 10% of their total production costs NAILEd 10% is a lot, shit if we made 6 million after Allen and Branson's donations we'll be sitting on a fat 20%, I seriously think that will prompt UPN and Paramount to bring us a 5th season, with 20% of production costs covered they leaves them with a LOT more headroom for bad ratings and still make money. Eventually this situation is going to become too publically embarassing for them not to acqueisce. (sp?) BTW the Branson and Allen thing, pure speculation *wink wink wink nudge nudge nudge* I didn't say it *wink wink* so don't go blabbing it around! Duggie
I went and got onto the live chat after the big chat was over. There was someone on there that is with TU and mentioned that they are in the process of talking with Branson. He would not say when anymore info about Branson would be brought forth. Just that they had someone close to Branson working things out.
elderbear
Star Trek has inspired us, and particularly Enterprise, with its superb theme song that tells so much about our struggle to move space travel forward and closer to the public ... :o heh heh heh ... I wonder if all those who objected to the "superb theme song" still think it was a bad idea? B)

I wonder if all those who objected to the "superb theme song" still think it was a bad idea? B) I found some dudes in this forum who said they hated the Theme song. But I on the other hand backed up the idea that it was very inpsiring B) Just cause it's not combat at the beggining and action... doesn't mean its not good :)
