ENT: Giant *supposed* Spoiler from TrekBBS

THat it will force a rewrite...I've been violently against the idea that this spoiler is true, but there's a guy over at BBS that people claim has has accurate spoilers all through the series, and he says it's true...It's about the finale, after "Terra Prime"

Spoiler in ...5

The claim is that he's read the final script and that in the finale, Trip dies and it zooms out or something and we see that it's a holodeck recreation of on the USS Enterprise D being watched by Troi and Riker.

I know this sounds like a really stupid and sick joke, but this fued has been firing up at the BBS forums for 12 hours now and there's like constantly 500+ people on the Enterprise part of the forum spatting back and forth.

I've decided to take a break from it b/c I've let my opinions be known which are that I think there's multiple scripts and that people shouldn't freak out just yet and abandon the fan campaign....since this just happened to come like 2 hours after the 3 million was donated...it seems like a ploy to create dissent in the Trek community.

If you want to see the full monty of what's been being argued I recommend you go over to TrekBBS and read from the past few pages on the "Finale - MAJOR SPOILERS" section, you'll also see my fiery responses.

There's a letter campaign being begun to write to Berman, Braga and Coto to convince them this is a huge mistake (in case it's true) and I ask that anybody here who has the time join in.

My hope in announcing this is that if we can blow this out of the water enough and make the entire idea public knowledge, we may force a re-write if it's the real script.

If it's not and it's just a multiple like I suspect, since it's the finale and they probably have tons of dummy scripts and dummy shots they're going to film, well then we've got nothin to lose.

But I think killing off Trip would destroy one of the best things about the show and it shows incredibly poor taste for Manny and Berman to claim that the finale is "very cool" and "very moving" and "something we've never done before" and "a special Valentine to the fans". I mean killing off a main character isn't a valentine, it's a slap in the face.

I hope you all agree with me that we have to keep our wits about us (for those that are for the Save Enterprise campaign).

Plz help us stomp out this incredibly bad idea.

Thx,

LSR

I agree, I thought it sounded stupid too but everybody on BBS seems to think this guy has ALWAYS been right..None of them will admit the possibility that he's not this time.

Eh, w/e, I just think we should wait till it airs and find out.

But at the same time I don't want to take the chance.

Even if we sound like idiots mailing Berman with this at least we'd avoid it actually happening in the slim chance they ARE planning it.

The holodeck creation may just be wishful thinking for fans who hate Enterprise. :D

I don't have a problem with Trip being killed off (as long as Enterprise really ends after 4 seasons). Just think about how many important characers have been killed off over the years already: Kirk, Natasha Yar, Jadzia Dax, Data... what makes Trip so different?

oh geez the whole series was a holodeck? what could be so lame? oh oh maybe we could show Janeway waking up @ the end and say it all was a dream....my goodness the ppl didnt buy that lame of a script when it was tried on Dallas....if berman is that hard up that he cant think of a better script for the "last" show why dosent he do the honorable thing and step aside and let Manny give it a good ending. this just shows what a pickle head he is... when someone starts breathing new life into the series he gets ticked and calls the whole thing off cause someone else is doing a better job than him...yeah yeah i hear you boo hiss..... ok im too mad now im gonna go graze a while...moo roar mooo

no the deal isn't the whole series being a holodeck simulation, just this final episode.

over at BBS we're talkin about how basically if we get a season 5 with the TU and SE efforts Manny would most likely be in control b/c Braga is going to do Threshold and Berman's going to be working on Trek XI....and Manny would fix it and keep Trip on.

Plus Manny said in the interview with TU that nothing would happen in the finale to seriously impact the possibility of a future season.

ok a thousand pardons may your harem always be full...im glad to hear that (hooves crossed)manny will be in charge of the 5th season i really think that this season has taken a better turn than in the past. i can understand a 2 or 3 ep arc on a particular issue but devoting a whole season to the xindi....c'mon that would try even the most ardent fans. i would like to see manny do more work on the pre-federation thingy seeing how these lowly terrians helped unite all these "superior" races together for he common good of all would be a good change of pace in the trying time we live in....or archer and t'pol could just open up an ice cream shoppe and i would still watch it. moo

i know how it shoud end.

Archer should wake up in some rundown neighborhood, he is surrounded by needles and surrounded by the rest of his "crew" some of them passed out, and the rest smoking something and looking pretty stoned.

he looks up and says "wow that was some messed up shit." Roll credits.

Star Trek is DEAD!! Why should Bermann or Braga (or anyone else for that matter) care??

CBS/Viacom says Star Trek is dead.

Paramount says Star Trek is dead.

UPN says Star Trek is dead.

Bermann & Braga say Star Trek is dead.

Scott Backula (Archer) says it's dead.

Jolene Blalock (T'Pol) says its dead.

John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox) says its dead.

What else can I possibly say in light of the above??

......That it's alive, Egor?

Manny has been bring Enterprise back to life this season but thats because he's pulled out all the stop. This season could have easily been the second season and then Enterprise would have been off the air in less time than TOS.

Regarding the final episode, if they do write in the holodeck it better just be Riker and Troy getting a brief history lesson about the most famous engineer in history or the first human and vulcan relations not a fake season/series finally to hope for a 5th season.

Wasn't it written that Riker and Troi would be on the show, but not on Enterprise? Seems plausible. And that would pacify all of the show's nay-sayers (to a certain extent).

Yeah, it's kinda cheap. Yeah, it's kinda heartless.

What else can you do?

BUT... Archer in the alley with a doob did bring a smile to my face. :cyclops:
