Wazer
From the other topic on typecast I realised that several of Star Treks actors have done Narration and other Voices for Characters. This is probably because of there commanding voices and actor training but who has been really good at this? I have heard Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks and Michael Dorn as Narrators and I think maybe Michael is the best. ( Probably why he does so much ) Someone also mentioned Jeffery Combs and his distingtive voice as Shran, Brunt and Weyoun and I see he has also done work as the voice of "the Question" in the Justice League and a couple of roles in Spiderman eps. Is there anyone else who you haave recognised as a Narrator or voice, who was really good, from Star Trek.
Guest c4evap
Well, Nimoy had done voice-over work. I thought he was pretty good. c4 B)
Tenebrae
Justice League had Odo doing random voices too... Patrick Stewart has started doing a fair bit... not only does he do the director of the CIA in American Dad, he seems to do about 50% of all UK adverts. Nimoy just did Civ 4's voice overs... I pray Mulgrew never gets into voiceovers. I fear suicide rates would skyrocket.
Arktis
If you wanna hear a lot of Star Trek actors doing voicework at the same time, check out the cartoon series, Gargoyles. For fun, here's a corny little ytmnd site showcasing each actor and what part they did: http://trekgargoyles.ytmnd.com/ Warning! it takes a bit for the audio to load up and it is quite loud. As far as the best goes, I'd have to say it's Leonard Nimoy. He's done a lot of educational type documentaries and his voice is just perfect for it. Tenebrae
Apparently voice acting has become a lot more popular in recent years because - due in part to the success of The Simpsons (I guess).
Wazer
Simpsons has been great for guest appearances but I think many of the ST alumni have been high claass narrators to documentaries and feature characters like on American Dad. True I don't think Kate Mulgrew would be that great anyone else who you wouldn't like. I don't think Robert Duncan Mcneil (Tom Paris) and Dwight Schultz (Reg Barclay) wouldn't be very good either.
