Tenebrae
I'm surprised no one has pointed this out... the Daleks weren't actually destroyed (or the cybermen), just tossed into interdimensional space. I'm sure the black dalek and his buds could work out some way to open interdimensional space.
GorunNova
... especially since the Black Dalek jumped through time and is at large, all ready to build something to, say, suck Daleks out of the void.
Antilles
May, as far as I can remember the Dalek weapon is referred to as a 'Ray'...Dalek Ray? Sounds familiar from the past..or was that just the name of a Walls' Ice Lolly :) And I wouldnt worry about the new companion being the same actress as Adeola who died in Army Of Ghosts, shell probably look way different and I cant see them saying something like shes the same person from another dimension, seeing as shes called Martha Jones and not Adeola. How theyll meet, I dunno? But I hope she doesnt go all mushy and fall in love with the Doctor, dont think I could handle another one of those storylines. Id like to see a typical classic companion, one who just travels with the Doctor and enjoys the adventure and needs rescuing from time to time, not too much screaming but just enough. Picking up a secondary male companion wouldnt be so bad either. Also I hope we get to move away from Earth finally and not keep returning home to see Marthas mum & boyfriend at every opportunity. maybrick
I just think I should mention that this is the first time I've ever heard Doctor Who compared to Transformers... XD ... My take on it is that she 'died' in the same way anyone 'dies' when the person they love disappears forever. ... and why does Satan have to stick to either lies or truth on it's own? He'd probably mix them generously, lying at one moment and telling the truth the next, mixing them so much that from him, they're interchangeable and indistinguishable. Very true. It is said that the best lies (meaning ones that work best) are those that hold a little bit of truth.
maybrick
As far as Satan being the Great Deciever - that's a lie we tell ourselves because we don't like to believe he knows our secrets. Truth can hurt more than any lie. And who's to say he died? That's a lie we tell ourselves? Sorry, but I don't actually believe in the devil so I really couldn't care less whether he knows my secrets or not, and whether or not he's truly dead at the end of the story is really beside the point. He still didn't see himself getting sucked into the Black Hole, did he? He actually thought he was going to escape. So much for his "great" powers of prediction, then. As for truth can hurt more than any lie, so can lies hurt more than the truth. It all depends upon the circumstances. maybrick
One "slight" disappointment but more so an interesting thing to learn' date=' Cybermen are by far inferior to Daleks.[/quote'] Only when up against Alternate Universe Cybermen which had only been around for 3 years before confronting the Daleks. Who knows how it would turn out if the Daleks confronted the true Cybermen that have interstellar spacecraft and been around for centuries? Antilles
Oh yes I really hope we get to see the true Cybers v Daleks, Id be hard pushed to know who to put my money on for that one. Now if only the Cybers had personal shields too, the writers would have to use some imagination to get round that! But I suppose the Daleks could just send in a 'Gold' Dalek and theyd poo silver bricks! :p
TV Man
Of course this means that the new Cybermen are now removed from both realitites with no possibility of return (although give it five minutes into next series they'll be popping back in no time). Not necessarily. The Cybermen inside Torchwood were busy creating new Cybermen on our Earth. The freshly minted new Cybermen had not traveled through time or through the the portal in the first place, and therefore they wouldn't have all the "background stuff" attached to them (which is what was required to get pulled through the Doctor's vacuum cleaner). So what happened to them?
maybrick
The Cyberman armor would have to have come through the void, wouldn't it though? Besides, there are still the more advanced Cybermen in the Universe. The Doctor said so himself.

So what happened to them? That's right... didn't they start making new Cybermen from people when they showed up? Those Cybermen, as TV Man mentioned, wouldn't have 'void stuff' attached to them... unless their parts were imported, of course. If they dragged parts with them to build more Cybermen, then those parts would have dragged Cybermen built out of them into the void. RS Antilles: There's no way they could do a Dalek vs. Cybermen thing on the show. They might show the very beginning of such a conflict, or the end, or some brief time within it, but not a full conflict unless they spent an entire season on it... and Doctor Who doesn't work that way (at least, the new one doesn't... no three or more parters for the new Doctor, I'm afraid. ;))
Antilles
Perhaps not 3 or 4 parters in a row, but the 4 Cyber episodes could be viewed as a 4 part arc. :) Who knows maybe RTD might push for more than a 2 parter one day, a big epic something. Fenriswolf
Just because you don't believe in the Devil, doesn't mean that he doesn't believe in you. Name that film ;) Here's the exact quote. "- I don't belive in the devil. - You should. He believes in you."
Megalith
i will be the first to give it a 10/10 best thing i've seen for years if i'm honest. as for them not being dead cuz they was sucked into the void of course theyre dead the void is nothingness the orb survived by being nothingness but the deleks and cybermen had mass etc and existed unlike the orb so yes they are very dead along with the new cybermen created huh. my quarm if i have to have one is when yvonne killed the cybermen i mean how can an emotionless thing be like that i suppose it could be todo with her torchwood training but damn and the green tear well i dunno huh still it was sheer genious and at least we will get to see daleks in the future and yeah i hope the real cybermen too

Amnot Borg
I think if a series only has 13 episodes a year, 4 parters are out of the question. Someone running the series is gonna stomp on it.
Antilles
I guess I just liked it the old way, 25 mins per ep over many months, it seemed more like an adventure then. Its over too quick these days.
