Mav
From: http://www.igda.org/sf/ That looks pretty sweet. Kinda NX-01 ish Not quite sure which Class of ship it is, have to research that.
Arktis
I know the topic says "Ingame" (should be "in-game", btw), but those look pre-rendered to me. There's absolutely no noticably rough edges. It looks to me like either an in game shot taken at an extrememly high resolution and then shrunk down to the size we see - in order to hide flaws in the rendering - or two pre-rendered frames from an in-game animation sequence (in other words, a short video clip from the game which was rendered at a much higher quality than your typical or even more advanced pc would even come close to being able to do in realtime). Tablet
oOo pretty Akira class, nice screenshots
Tenebrae
Arktis is right - being a negative nancy always pays off. It's why I'm a high powered drunk and you're my forum minions. Many a game has lied of its prowess, to be honest - even in-game footage can be hideously manipulated... billy and his supercomputer.
TetsuoShima
Last screenshots I saw didn't look quite so nice, yes, but that was a few months ago. Maybe they upgraded some of the quality settings and used some really beefy hardware on these. If you look at the other screenshots, you can still see 'rough' edges btw. Hmm, come to think of it, these look very much like the other ones from a few months ago. edit: I searched a bit and the other pics on that linked page I've seen before, the ones posted here, I hadn't seen before. I got a look at the other in-space screen shots again, and they all look quite nice, but the reason is probably that they were taken at high res (like 2560+ or so), some of todays graphics accelerators can handle this reasonably wel (like 2 7950's in SLI, even though there's no official support for it) and then shrunk down to 640... Irregularities would probably not be noticable very good in such cases.
Mav
Well, it may or may not be pre rendered, but the source I got them from said they were ingame screens.
Tenebrae
As I said - the term "ingame" is VERRRRY playable. Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.
TFMF
Well the images certainly look good but i can see how the quality of graphics of the actual game might not be of the same standard
TetsuoShima
Actually, I think it will be up to those standards, if you've got the mussle to run it at full quality. Space sims usually have quite good graphical characteristics compared to FPS, at least from memory it seems that way to me. If you look at the in-ship screenshots, you'll notice they don't look quite as good. Of course, I'm no guru, so I'm just guessing too. But if you've taken a look at what they can do with graphics in the future (look at Crysis for example), then this sceenshot seems very acceptable to me. Hilander72
There's nothing more disappointing than a losy game with awesome graphics. Hopefully they'll make the game itself awesome to match the graphics.
