Correct, I guess that gives you the right to ask a question (i started with a question cause this conversation about spock was going nowhere)

Bonus 1: Leo

Bonus 2: It is the 3rd closes star system to sol, but the 5th closest star. The centuri system is a trinary star system. Which is followed by Barnards Star and finishing out at 7.8 Light Years...is Wolf 359.

in the interview ireferred to in the original post he stated that he hadbeen staying in a hotel in new york or somewhere (my memory is sketchy on the details) and was dashing past awhole load of fans to get in a cab.

I heard that in the audio book "I am spock" or "I am not spock", I can't rem which hah. But I don't rem him talking about the hand gesture.

It's a gesture used by Rabbis during the Hebraic benediction, something he saw in church. It represents Shekinah, female GOD or something. The V symbol stands for the hebrew letter shin.

Gonna have to make'm harder lol.

I put my answer on a piece of toast, then ate it.

"Shekinah" is a feminine noun for Deity in Hebrew. The Shekinah was located upon the "Mercy Seat" which crowned the Ark of the Covenant. I didn't realize that's where Spock had found it.

it isnt where he found it.

in the interview ireferred to in the original post he stated that he hadbeen staying in a hotel in new york or somewhere (my memory is sketchy on the details) and was dashing past awhole load of fans to get in a cab. he was just pulling away when a fan ran upto the car and slapped his hand on the glass trying to reach lenny and the fingers were separated spock stylee.

Very interesting. I'd have to run with Nimoy's explanation, even though the hand gesture has deep Judaic symbolism. Carl Jung would say that archetypes manifest through symbols and that those symbols are expressed all over the world in different cultures who are not aware of how they're used in other cultures. So we have Nimoy using a symbol he gained from "accidental" contact with a fan in parallel with an ancient Kabbalistic gesture. Both probably tie into the collective unconscious (or it's just coincidence, if you prefer to see the world that way).
