Rose to be in Christmas special?

According to OG...

Yahoo News reported mid-month that "Billie Piper's character Rose Tyler is set to return to the BBC cult classic Doctor Who at Christmas, despite making a dramatic exit at the end of the show's second series on Saturday. A production insider tells the Sunday Express newspaper, 'Billie Piper's Rose had already been written in to the Christmas special before it was decided she should leave the show.' A BBC spokesperson refuses to deny the leak: 'I can't confirm or deny that story about Billie Piper. What I can say is there are lots of surprises in it. It is Doctor Who after all. There is already a lot of speculation about the Christmas episode, you can make your own conclusions.'"

I suppose it could be possible, theyve got screenshots of filming 'The Runaway Bride' over at OG and theres a lot of action outside 'Henrik's' Dept store again and the only connection we ever had with that store was with Rose. I bet its probably just a quick cameo or something as opposed to a full part.

Ive also been speculating how and why 'Donna' (the Bride) suddenly appeared inside the TARDIS just as the Doctor lost communication with Rose as the breach finally closed, there may be some connection I dunno. In the past the only things that have 'entered' the TARDIS that I can think of was the evil image of Sutekh (Pyramids Of Mars) and The Keeper Of Traken. After all the Doctor stated in 'Pyramids' that "Nothing can enter the TARDIS!"

Seems he was wrong again, or perhaps since the loss of Gallifrey etc the TARDIS is more vulnerable than before.

"Nothing can get through that door - not even the assembled hoards of Genghis Khan, and beleive me they've tried"

And yet here we have a bride not knowing how she got there (or does she... ;) )

But yeah it's most likely related to the transmision to Rose

But anyway - i really wouldn't want to see Rose in the Christmas episode - i think she had a great send off in Doomsday

I agree, if Rose is gone then let her be gone.

If anything, it's cruel and just mean to the die-hard Rose fans to dangle something like this in front of them.

Besdies, it wouldn't be as special as it would be if they ever opt to do a full episode where we get to meet her again.

It is possible that by complete accident the Bride ended up on the TARDIS, just like Rose and the Dalek in 2005 did in Parting of the Ways...the TARDIS materialised around them, so perhaps it will be something like that?

Then again knowing RTD...I bet he'll leave it open for discussion.

The bride at the end of doomsday is very perplexing i agree, i would be dissapointed tho if it turned out she had walked inside on earth during the dalek/alt cybermen war and got lost or something.

If Billie is in the Christmas Special i would presume its either another supernova conversation, a dream by the doctor about her, a younger post doctor Billie or a total disregard for the doomsday episode and a bad continuity error... oh well time will tell huh.

Having the 'Runaway Bride' teleport into the TARDIS isn't a surprise in the new series... after all, didn't the Doctor and Rose get teleported OUT of the TARDIS at the end of Season 1? The TARDIS definitely isn't as impenetrable as it was in the old series.

Speculation, speculation. Can't anyone just wait and see what the writers had in mind by dropping off the Bride?

Just kidding. I love the ideas. Keep'em coming.

My guess is she was accidentally transported inside TARDIS on the way to her wedding on another planet because of massive interference in the transmat by the interdimensional communication with the alternate universe. Rose's phonecall is gonna ruin the Brides's wedding day unless the doctor can save the (Christmas) day. ;)

If it was like a flashback/memory appearance for Rose, that'd work. Ya know, have the Doctor go about the special as normal but every few scenes he has a flashback or memories of Rose which for us would be new content we haven't seen but past experiences with Rose.

Least the romance angle is gone ;o

Yes she is, but we didn't get much dialogue as Adeola, so Frema must have impressed them. Wonder how soon she'll be introduced (start of the first ep, or towards the end). What I'd like to see is a reluctance by the doc to openly invite a new companion onboard but an inquisitive and headstrong Martha decide she's going in the tardis and then that she is staying (rather than with Rose being "sold" the idea of the adventure).
