i've started drinking it evey now and again because i try different teas. however one of my mates drinks it because he saw picard drink it, if i ask him if he wants a drink he'll even say "earl grey, hot"!

so who else out there drinks it because they saw picard drink it?

Why the coke should I drink your pepsi-fied Tea? ;)

I tried it but I'm not much of a tea person (and it was before I saw Picard do it)

This message contains no cola-oriented hidden messages like drink Coca-cola or alternatives like delicious Pepsi

I drink tea, specially in winter, because its pretty cold sometimes here.

I tried Earl Gray long before i knew about Picard, and i loved it!

Its really a good tea, as long its Lipton (I've tried other ones), and has some milk in.

Actually every tea that Lipton makes, is a good one. :)

BTW second favorite is Caramel (& milk).

B)

Oh, and yes, I now sometimes say "Tea, Earl Gray, hot" too, just for fun :cyclops:

i prefer sweet iced tea. i cant stand hot tea. or even coffe for that matter. hell' date=' i prefer my hot chocolate, luke warm. i HAVE tried earl grey, and didnt like it any more, or less, then any other hot tea.[/quote']

Are you talking about Grandma's old fashioned Sweet Sun Tea? You know, the stuff she set out in a 2 gallon mason jar in the am and let brew all day till about 5pm. Then she grought it back inside and dumped 2 sups of sugar into the brew and poured it over Texas sized iced cubes?

Sweet tea is good. You should try Japanese green tea. It ain't none too bad if you have it with some uguisu mochi (a sweet snack).

Personally, I'm a coffee person. Strong and black.

You haven't had tea until you've been to China. THEY invented it, and all the US crap doesn't compare. I've never had the tea specified in this topic, but from what I heard somewhere, maybe even in a ST episode, earl grey is not its official name.

I tasted a number of different teas in China. Some even had white flowers in it.. but it was too sweet for me.

yeah skip, alot of grannies make sun tea. though you can make sweet tea out of a regular brew. just add some water and sugar and put it put it in a glass with some ice. preferably AFTER it's been refridgerated over night.

My granny poured the un-drunk tea in the plants in the morning. She claimed, 'It warn't no good if'n you leave it out overnight!'.

We always had a fresh brew each evening...

Too bad granny only brews for the worms now! :(

I lived with a friend of mine a few years back. When we first moved in i noticed he had a box of earl grey tea. I asked him what it was about and he said "I like it" and I asked "The tea, or star trek" and he eventually admitted to liking star trek, so I found out my friend was a trekkie.

I on the otherhand just dont like tea, unless its cold.

That's what I say too. I can't stand liptons or any tea that is cold. I don't even think it IS tea, it's soda with USA chemicals in it. Americans don't know nothin about tea.

When I was in China we drank green tea pretty much everyday, and it's served every time we went out to eat. It's either that, or hot water (coz of the polluted water supply, water has to be boiled or bought bottled). No sugar, and no milk.

Tea is great. I usually try to taste all the different kinds I can.

just ordinary "tea" is actually very healthy, it contains a lot of stuff I don't know how to translate according to the British Tea Comission (or whatever it's called) and various health magazines.

"Pot" Tea is also very good!

:)
