psheldrake1
The same problem that killed other sites will soon effect this site. New movies being ULd. The MPAA won't waist time in closing this site. And it'l create big problems for Nite.
mcant
I think I'm tempted to agree, even though I am downloading Constantine from here. maybe this site should stick to TV and older films, after all there are plenty of sites to download new films from, maybe people should just ask for a link to be pmed or mailed to them if they are after new stuff, I'ld hate to lose this site, where else could I have got V and Zardoz in the same week! plus the forum has a great atmosphere with friendly people trying their best to help fellow SF devotees
Stranger
While I would like this site to be able to offer every sci-fi movie and series, it's probably better for the site to limit itself to content that doesn't attract any unwanted attention. At the rate torrent sites are going down, Niteshdw will be targeted at some point if the site continues to grow.
mcant
OMG it gets better, I just noticed someone has added ROBOTS!! 1 seed, 250 peers, apart from being a hit list film, thats kind of a lousy file to go for, 1 for 250! the damn thing is everywhere, do we really need it here? psheldrake1
Just one of the items I'm talking about. New movie, just releasted. It has MPAA all over it.
xtremeskiing
who the hell put constantine up? do we not go over this like 3 times a week. How many sites have to get taken down before we learn, its not like Nite isn't already paying extra money because that Dr. Who episode lost him the origenal domain name. werecow
i agree older hard to find stuff...old tv series...things that won't draw unwanted attention....
mcant
the seeder for constantine is the same one that put robots up! go figure maybe uploads should be vetted first? I have no doubt the seder was trying to be helpful,, but
Skippy
I think I'm tempted to agree, even though I am downloading Constantine from here. By downloading the movie, you are becoming part of the problem... not the solution. People provide things for the simple reason that other people appreciate or consume them. McDonald's would go out of business pretty fast if people stopped buying their products. They would just disappear... But because people continue to consume their products, McDonald's continues to provide them. See the connection? Stop DLing the stuff and it may very well just stop showing up. Continue to DL it, and this place will no longer be the 'Safe Haven' we would like it to be. Eat any good burgers lately?
NiteShdw
In relation to other sites, 250 peers is nothing. However, I really don't want to get into the mess I just got myself out of, so I'll watch things and see how it goes.

karimw786
Well the problem, IMHO, is that the guys that are putting up the new movie torrents don't read the threads. Perhaps a warning on the site itself might be the answer...
vystral
A warning won't change the fact that "illegal" file sharing is going on here. That's all the MPAA will see.

Lukeyson
Doesn't someone have administrative control of this website who can take down the worrying torrents?
psheldrake1
Of course there is. But god can't be every where at once. That's why he gave us good judgement. If people can't understand that you don't UL new movies, especially still in theater movies, you can't expect them to read facts.
xtremeskiing
Lukey, we are a bit of a happy family (or unhappy with all the bitching that goes on) and Nite is like our leader. Nite doesn't babysit the site for content, and we dont take advantage of that. However some people just don't think, and when that happens, we hope nite can correct the problem before someone finds us out.
