werecow Posted March 22, 2005 Share Posted March 22, 2005 I think they have bigger fish to fry first that may be true but in the best interests of the little(pbbbrrrttt yeah right!!!) community we have here id like to keep it open as long as possible and no matter the size upping a new release will draw unwanted attention to us. i used to d/l new moviies until "the crackdown" began now all i get are things that have been broadcast (tv shows, movies that have been shown on tv...ect....) i know some ppl say it dosent matter but if it has been broadcast over the air waves you can legally keep a copy as long as you dont sell it or re-show it for profit....back to the issue @ hand i agree i dont think it would be in the best interests of this community to allow new movies and releases to be upped here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

By downloading the movie, you are becoming part of the problem... not the solution. People provide things for the simple reason that other people appreciate or consume them. McDonald's would go out of business pretty fast if people stopped buying their products. They would just disappear... But because people continue to consume their products, McDonald's continues to provide them. See the connection? Stop DLing the stuff and it may very well just stop showing up. Continue to DL it, and this place will no longer be the 'Safe Haven' we would like it to be. Eat any good burgers lately? :rolleyes: Totally agree, I am a hypochrite, the same as most human beings I am avoiding Robots though :D and on the burger front I am ashamed to say I had a Quarterpounder with large fries and an extra large shake 2 days ago and enjoyed every guilty mouthful ;) I'm pretty certain there are some admins, as I notice the doctor who 01x1 and 01x2 didnt stay long lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Well, I guess that one solution (since the "lawbreaking" people doesn't tend to read what we're saying here..) is to at least try to make people understand by announcing on the primary page header and also removing / restricting those torrents in some way. I guess in the end I'll have to agree with NiteShdw and say that maybe it's best for now to "waiT and see"...for now. Actually this raises an interesting issue.
