Dr Who Episode 2 Feedback

Well, I thought it wasnt too bad, a few cringe-worthy moments which seemed a little childish (but I suppose theyre playing to the kids too huh). It wasnt until after the main event and murder-mystery (as mysteries go) that it got interesting and dare I say quite emotional, I actually felt sad for Rose and it was quite touching when the Doctor took her back home where she could see it was all still there, but the revelation that Gallifrey is gone and he is the last remaining Time Lord...WOW stop the press, thats a shocker.

Still doesnt feel like WHO tho, I dont think Ill feel that until 'Dalek' in episode 6.

So, what ya all think about tonight.

uppps just posted something about it the same time as this was lol..uppps.

Naww thought it was better than Rose, was good to see the BBC have improved the effects loads. Liked the costumes of the aliens thou.

The preview of next weeks looks cool as well, going back into the 1800's

Yeah I cant bloody wait for the darlek episode.....flying this time from what i heard.

Yes, its about time they sorted the Daleks mobility out, I just hope they can impose the same amount of fear into youngsters now as they did decades ago.

On another note did anyone feel he overused the Sonic screwdriver a little too much tonight. Also I put out of my head the fact that Eccleston quit this week and just carried on enjoying my old favourite.

I have a problem with this last time lord idea.

If time lords can move through time, surely at any given time there will be one of them somewhere?

Even if their last incarnation is at some point dead, surely they still exist before and after the point of that death and can be interacted with?

Ok I know this is serious paradox time, but i hope you see what I mean

Yes Im with you on the paradox side, Im sure theres more to it than what we heard tonight and I think its just Russel T. Davies up to one of his tricks. I remember hearing or reading somewhere that even tho the Time Lords are Masters of Time etc and they can travel anywhere and all that, that still doesnt stop the clock ticking forward in their own timezone thingy, geting technical now but you know what I mean, they can be in the past and be in the future but their 'NOW' time is still happening wherever they go, so perhaps everything does end as it should.

Or maybe its just the Beebs way of saying, "OK lets bring Doctor Who back, but there has to be a definite end in sight!"

Scary thought.

I though this weeks episode was getting better, but it still doesn't feel like doctor who. I am waiting for a decent storyline too. Things just seem to be too "setup". Maybe the good old days of stories spanning multiple episodes would make things even better?

Thats an undisputable certaintly Scalderwood, id give it some time for people to re-encode it, Im sure you wont have long to wait tho. If I had digital tv and a dvd-recorder to it Id do it for ya.

Some more thoughts. Have you all noticed the move towards Trek and other US style shows where we get the 2 minute intro THEN the credits? Thats just not England mates! And its certainly not very Who.

Oh well, times change, times change! (Ian Chesterton mode)

Hi folks just a quick request, Please keep in mind that there are many of us whose only outlet for watching the show is via downloading it. This means that unitl it is released here we can not watch it, and have therefore not yet seen it. If you really must discuss plot please find it in your heart to warn us that your post contains spoilers. Perhaps you could begin your post with a big red SPOLIER? Thank you.

Just another part of the mystery of this regeneration....if this even WAS a regeneration. Theres a lot of theories floating around about him not even being THE Doctor, I mean did 'WE' see a regeneration? Nope, whos to say the whole Eccleston as the Doctor then suddenly quitting isnt some kind of fantastic TV surprise plot to make us GASP a few months down the line, and Paul McGann actually turns up coz this guy is actually Valeyard or Master (again) pretending to be the Doc, I mean lets face it hes having no problem steering the TARDIS, he could never do that before lol.

Would be nice to get something good out of the mystery and the even deeper mystery about Eccleston quitting, the whole 'typecast' thing is just toooo easy!

Tin, no offense but the post title pretty much says "If ya aint seen Episode 2 KEEP OUT!

I know if I hadnt seen Ep 2 and there was a post about feedback, theres bound to be discussion of what happened. But yes, Ill post the word spoiler next time.

Thats true I used to buy STar Trek mag years ago when Voyager was a young show, it got to a point I couldnt read mags, newspapers, the odd Cable show for fear of spoilers. Ive never really been too bothered about spoilers, as long as its not giving away the entire plot etc etc I can handle the odd snippetoony

Im having problems with this one TinPusher, first it would load into Azureus saying there was (13)2551 seeds and 65(6783) peers then it would drop down to (0)0 and (0)15. This is wierd. So I tried again now its showing the corret numbers but the stats on the page you see here in Nites only shows 15 peers but I can barely get over 1k download speed. Is the amount of seeds/peers choking this to death?

EDIT, its ok it got there eventually I think it was just bottlenecked for a while.
