True UFO Stories

I'll start......

 

This was back in the 70's, and me & my friends were on an "all night drive". No mischief involved, no bad things, just out for a drive to relax & have a good time.

 

We were driving down a deserted road that dusk, and I was in the back seat relaxing. We were drinking sodas & had sandwiches, so I decieded to lean back in the seat to stretch a bit.

 

When I leaned back, I looked upward out the rear window into the hazy sky. I saw a huge triangle shape in the sky. Judging by the height, I'd say it was in our stratosphere, at least.......Miles up high. Even at that height, it was still very large. I could barely make out some of it's features.

 

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say this ship was at least 2 or 3 football fields in length, easy......Maybe more. No doubt this ship probably was able to carry smaller ships within it, given its immense size.

 

I watched it for quite some time, completely dumbfounded. Something that big near Earth, yet no one sent up anything to investigate??

 

If the ship was under attack by our forces, I would've seen that, since dusk was giving way to night-time. This was nothing we have.....Trust me on that.

 

......And no, I wasn't drinking or on drugs, this thing was real.

 

I checked the news later, to see if anything had been said........Not one word about it on any channel, or any newspaper that I'm aware of.

In 1977, when I lived near Akron, Ohio, I saw two craft up very close. The first, in March 1977, was a smaller "garden variety" UFO, the real saucer type. It hovered above me like a stalled frisbee, for several moments, as it slowly "floated" away from me. It moved, like a flat leaf would, as it falls straight down from a tree.

 

The second, was about a month later, in early May 1977, and dozens of others saw this one as well. It was the same type you did Von, one of those huge triangular shaped craft. It seems that thousands of people have seen these "mother ships" over the years.

 

The one I saw, was only several hundred feet above the ground, and it was well over 1,000 feet long, and obscurred about 1/3rd of the sky. It was completely silent, and slowly floated across our field of vision, as it headed straight towards downtown Akron, Ohio.

Ohio was where I was when I saw mine........But it wasn't as close as yours!

 

Could you make out anything that looked like weapons? Gun turrets? Missles?

 

......And the smaller one flew like it had been damaged?

Nope, I could see nothing protrubing from it, it did have a few lights on it tho, which I found rather odd. My own feeling about this triangular shaped craft, is it was collecting samples or something, perhaps suvailiance, since it was so low to the ground. Btw, I was with a male friend who is a lawyer, and a lady friend who is a registered psychiatric nurse. I was also in the back seat of a car while the male was driving (believe it or not, we were all driving to a UFO/mediation meeting at the time), was the first to spot it, and my male friend yelled "Lee," by god, this needs investigating", and we pulled off the road, into a school parking lot. I told him to start flashing his headlights at it, to see if anything would occur (nothing did, it slowly just floated away from us). We watched it for about 10 minutes or so.

 

When we arrived at the meeting, several others arriving also saw it. The person who's house we were going to, was the local UFO reporting center person, and her phone was ringing off the hook about it.

 

I just remembered, the next morning, I was intervied on film about the incident, by a group of Kent State Univ. gradutate students, and some time later, the clip appeared on a PBS TV show, which I never did see, but was informed by others I was seen on.

 

Btw, I served on two aircraft carriers in the US Navy, and for years now, I've said the object was about as large in all directions, as 3 aircraft carriers, end to end. That's pretty damn big.

 

About that smaller craft, no, it was not damaged, it was behaving perfectly normally, far as I know. It appeared to be spinning, but in reality, it had lights on the outside middle area, that seemed to blink in a rapid succession in sequence, like signs at many theatures and other places do. In other words, at any given time, about 3 or 4 of the lights were on at any given second, but the lights, strobed on/off in a sequence, which rotated around the middle of the craft.

Keep in mind, the thing was basically floating in the air, maybe 200 feet above me, so it "swayed to and fro" somewhat, as it very slowly moved thru the sky. About the leaf, ever been in the woods on a calm day, and watched flat leafs, like maple leafs fall from a tree? They do not fall straight down, they sway slightly, to and fro as they fall. It's movement was like that. Also, if you have ever thrown a frisbee, and there is a slight wind blowing towards you, sometimes the frisbee can get into a state when it reaches it's maximum distance, that where-in for a few seconds, it will stall and actually hover in the air. The smaller craft reminded me of a frisbee at that stage, not only towards "flight" characteristics, but towards actual shape (more like two frisbees sandwhiched together tho).

 

Believe it or not, I was driving to the same ladies house mentioned above (a UFO/mediation meeting) when I saw this one too. The odd thing was, I was alone on a highway near Barberton Ohio when I saw it, and it was just getting dark out. I pulled off the highway (I-76) into a vacant parking lot, and stood there out of my car, and watched it for about 10-15 minutes or so. I was bewildered that no one else around me seemed to see it or stop, like I did. Stangely, the thought crossed my mind that I was the only one being aloud to see it. So, I said in my mind to it "if you are following me, or are here for me, I am heading to so and so's house, follow me". I hopped in my car, continued my drive to my friends house. When I got there, I saw no sign of the craft anymore. I was heading to the front door of her house, when she came bursting out and said "Lee, you won't belive what just happned!" Funny thing was, I said the same thing to her at the very same instant. She told me that she had just received a phone call from "Mike" a man who I had just met a day or so before. He told her that he had just made himself known to me again... Another odd thing was, when she answered her phone, she did not say hello. Instead, she, for some reason, said "Mike, is this you".

 

Oh, I failed to mention, that "Mike" claimed to be an extraterrestrial, didn't I? But alas, that's another story....

I was in a canoe fishing in Northwestern Ontario, I was with a friend it was getting pretty dark.

We both noticed two lights at pretty much the same time, they where very bright and seemed to have no distinctive shape or color...

 

One came from the west, the other from the east, the combined "side by side" and then took off upwards after about 5 minutes of them hovering in the same place. I've never seen something so fast, probably never will again.

About ten years ago, my brother and I were sitting in my car smoking pot when we saw 3 lights hovering and moving slowly above the "You-Yangs" {local mountains}. We watched the lights move back and forward just above ground level.

at this point, we thought they were helicoptors. A few minutes later, after watching them seemingly scope out the mountain, the 3 lights converged at the peak of the mountain and began spinning, forming the shape of an atom (like below) for about 15 seconds and then they shot out into 3 directions and dissapeared into thin air.

Both me and my brother swear U.F.O's exist because of this.

Where specifically in Northwestern Ontario was this? Were you somewhere in Quetico? Or further up north?

It was 1980 Here in Idaho, Myself and a couple of friends were out on their boat, we were in the bruneau canyons about 7 miles up the snake river, We were fishing for channel cat so it was about 2AM when all of a sudden the whole boat was lit by the brightest light i have ever seen, after about 30 seconds the light faded to a tolerable level and we could look up, what we saw was something about the size of a battle ship and roughly triangular in shape, about 100 feet above us just below the canyon rim. It had a faint irridescent blue glow on the bottom and was completely silent. Well needless to say it scared my friend and he started the boat and took off at full throttle, the craft followed us for about 2 miles then went straight up faster than anyone would believe. All this happened about 30 miles from MTN. Home Air Force Base and we called the base that morning when we got back to town and they thought we were just prank callers and nothing was ever mentioned on the news either.

I'd be very curious to know what happens when you walk though the airport metal detector. Have you checked yourself for metal fragments?

I'm intruiged by UFO stuff although I haven't had to my knowledge any sightings around here - we do however enjoy great northen lights effects and other nice views.

Yep, Taken was not too bad. I saw it a few times on the Sci-Fi network here in the USA a while back.

 

Can't recall where, but I saw torrents for it somewhere a few months ago.

Not sure whether I wish I had one or am relieved I don't. All the flying objects I've seen have been identified. Including those on a couple of amateur video tapes from Roswell, NM that Hard-Copy aired some years ago. Hard-Copy, of course presented the objects in these video tapes with great awe and mystery.

 

I had a video tape very similar to the first object - it was a Jim (Gymn?) Sphere, a mylar coated calibration balloon with protrusions, used to calibrate radars. Their movements in the air can look kinda spooky. But it was clearly an identifiable object.

 

The second object was obviously a light colored helicopter rotating in and out of shadow in the late-day sun, with the video taken at extreme distance, possibly with digital zoom.

 

The Hard-Copy story was utter cr*p! The stories you have shared here - well, sounds like the "U" is real.

Seems that way, at least for myself and most witnesses.
