is their any chance you people woke up with a hangover the day after those UFO encounters? Say, you were drunk when you saw them?

A little far-fetched that more then one Star Trek fan happened to have seen one, isn't it?

The saucer section of the enterprise is very impressive, but to claim you have seen saucers flying aroung in the atmosphere.

First posts in these forums and here I go...

I was in a canoe fishing in Northwestern Ontario, I was with a friend it was getting pretty dark.

We both noticed two lights at pretty much the same time, they where very bright and seemed to have no distinctive shape or color...

One came from the west, the other from the east, the combined "side by side" and then took off upwards after about 5 minutes of them hovering in the same place. I've never seen something so fast, probably never will again.

Where specifically in Northwestern Ontario was this? Were you somewhere in Quetico? Or further up north?

White lake provincial park, in beetween marathon and white river.

No. We made it all up, just to try to impress you, and maybe a few others.

WTF does Star Trek, and seeing a physical UFO, often with witnessess, have to do with anything? Do you think that NO science fiction, can possibly be based on science fact?

Millions of people on earth, have seen "UFO's", and I doubt, they are all Star Trek, or science fiction fans.

I've seen a UFO. I lived about 2 miles from a msall local airport, and used to watch planes at night so I was (am) quite familiar with how planes look and sound in the sky at night. It was in the fall of 1984. My boyfriend and I were out looking for a place to park (no drugs, no alcohol) and were driving the country roads behind the airport. It was very dark that night, can't remember if it was overcast or just no moon up yet. A plane flew overhead to go in for a landing and I glanced up at it, was a small one-prolly a four seater locally owned. Then I noticed light from above and looked up. There were yellow lights above us. I pulled over and looked up and saw what appeared to be a large triangular object overhead, moving quite slowly. No engine noise. There were yellow lights on the underside of it, not real bright but there. My boyfriend saw it too. It headed toward the airport. When we lost sight of it in the trees, I raced home to get a camera, but when I got back to the area, there was nothing. We didn't talk about it. At all. Months later I finally mentioned it to a friend of mine. I didn't know it at the time, but his dad worked as a refueler at the airport. He freaked. Asked me all kinds of details and I told him and he said his dad had come home one night and told him about a UFO buzzing the airport, roughly around the same time (monthwise) I saw the UFO. His dad had told him they kept it hushed up, but after the UFO was there for about 45 minutes some planes arrived from an airforce base not too far away and it took off when they showed up. So, I assume what I saw was definately a UFO. I've seen weather balloons, planes, Venus and this was definately not one of those.

I think a lot of Science Fiction can be based on scientific theories , although people who think they saw a UFO probably encountered something they couldn't explain, and associated it with "UFO's" and creating their own theory.

I am well versed in all of the modern day weaponry & aircraft......I even know a few things I shouldn't.

What I saw was no terrestrial design.....

You see, the thing about this response is that anything in the sky that, is unexplained.. is a (U)nidentified (f)lying (o)bject...

ANYWAYS, I have had 2 UFO encounters. The first was at Shoal lake in Canada. I was with my dad, uncle and sister on the lake in a boat for an evening ride. All of a sudden, my dad said "look, an airplane." We all look to where he is pointing, and nothing is there. We were confused. Then, about 15 seconds later, we noticed a bright circle way up in the sky, hovering there. It then started flying sideways, then it instantly started to travel in the complete opposite direction. Then, it stopped again, and it faded. Now, im not sure if i really saw this, but im 99.99 percent sure that i did. After it faded, i think i saw a black dot, zoom away into the sky. REALLY FAST. It flew away from the spot where the light faded. Now, keep in mind, this object was VERY VERY high in the sky and i couldnt make it out very well. It really was just like a dot.

My second story is really crazy. Once again, with my dad and my sister. We just arrived home and parked our car when we noticed something odd in the sky. The sky was completely clouded over and we could see 5 bright lights in the form of a triangle in the clouds. At first, i thought that they were spotlights, but after a while, i realized that they could not have been for 3 reasons: 1: The lights stayed in perfect formation and slowly moved across the sky until we couldnt see them any more. And when i say perfect, i mean PERFECT. 2: There were no beams of light coming from the ground. Usually, when there are spotlights, you can see the light being cast on dust particles in the air, but in this situation, you couldnt. Also, it really looked like the lights were originating from above the cloud cover. 3: If the were spotlights, the source of the light would be stationary and the circles would deform into ovals as they moved away from the original source. In this case, the lights stayed perfectly circular.

Another thing i noticed about both the events is the "odd feeling" you get when you see these objects. Its really an unexplainable feeling and its like you just know that the object really isnt from earth. People may not believe me, but i know what i saw, and i do believe that they were not objects from earth.

Oh, BTW, this is what the ufo in the second instance looked like

Were you able to make out any details on the ship at all? Doors, torpedo tubes, gun enplacements?
