ssarbyug50
What canadians financed BSG neomaster? NBC Universal - that is an American company. BSG is simply shot in Canada, as are the stargates, which are paid for by MGM - goes not mean that they are Canadian shows. A lot of the shows now are crap - same probably goes for British tv. There are several great shows though. I would definitely DISAGREE that British sci-fi is better. New Doctor who I don't much care for. What other sci-fi have they got? USA has Enterprise, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, BSG, Andromeda, and probably more. I would not call BSG a british show - it isn't. Partly paid for by Sky is more like it. You can say that UK had in the past the Original Doctor Who, Red Dwarf, Blake 7 (or whatever), and more. USA in the past had Star Trek, Star Trek TNG, Star Trek DS9, Star Trek Voyager, Firefly,Bablyon 5, etc etc. USA wins, sorry. (just my opinion)
vyper
As far as americans are concerned, the USA always wins. It's the rest of us that roll our eyes and walk away. :p
TetsuoShima
The whole US TV/movie-industry is going through a period of lack of creativity. This is partly because so much money is possibly to be gained/lost with it. So they just choose the easy way and try to do stuff that worked before and not try really new inventive things. There are new and inventive things out there, but they just don't receive enough cash to make it work. It's hard to be pushed to creativity, usually idea's just pop up and if financing is found it'll happen. New idea's probably just don't seem to be economically viable enough for the producers... (just my opinion) Hate to spoil it but Dr who IS the longest running sci-fi series. I should hope the americans are top seeing as they have alot more money to throw at theses series than the rest of the world. Your loss if you dont like it, Im sure there are plenty of others that do, not to mention 7 to 10 million viewers per week, from a UK population of 60 million that quite impressive, can someone tell me what enterprises was?? As for BSG, without the funding from SKY TV then it probably wouldnt of got back on our screens
vyper
And where do you think they got the idea from? It's not our fault the BBC executives are unimaginative retards.

AbsolutPrEvl
The only thing I liked abotu boud was when the Orion Captain said "we are both slaves Captain" I thought THAT was a GREAT Star trek moment.. No REALLY! The Orion women are the ones in control, and not slaves, they take control passively, and THAT is power! I totally hated watching right up until the Orion captin said that quote... THEN it made me appreciate it more, especially women should like it, turns out Orion Women aren't just nymphos, they've learned how to use it to take control of their race... NOW THAT's a fact I will always keep now in my Star Trek trivia...
KaiserDay
I cant say that I was humored by Bound at all. They seemed to make it more about showing ass and how stupid the men can be. I remember there being statements that the women were slaves only. Though this could have changed in 100 years time though I doubt it.
