Why don't we just talk about whatever the urge strikes us?

No reason to worry what is going on with the threads. To close them, do they belong, should we talk about something else. Let nature take it's course.

Aren't choices 1 and 3 the same thing?

Unfortunately if we let nature take its course, human nature that is, we'll be organising lynch parties within a week, thats why we have police forces

Discussion is fine but when it starts getting personal and in some cases downright nasty, the posts have to be policed

Well I'd like to say both 1 and 2 since they both apply and are grounds for good discussion.

I'm very impressed by how clean this forum is - especially compared to most forums around anywhere and that is something worth keeping up.

Most people here do not accept discussions going over the top and that is good - selfpolicing and this is also the reason the statement above is so.

Desperate Housewives sucks. I like Sex and the City though. More sci-fi! Lock the homosexual threads! Ban all conversation regarding homosexuals! I keep on reading people talking crazy madness on the subject and can't stop myself from responding!

Well, I'm getting warmed up so I voted 1 - but I have to agree with BorisP that we should just talk about whatever we like.

I like to talk about everything and nothing - especially if I can make a relation to something in nature.

EDIT: I followed the 'recent posts'-window from the tracker to here - thought this was 'Ten Forward'. My opinion was for 'Ten Forward' and 'Modern Science' only.

Then you (and you're not alone!) have a great learning opportunity - how to stay out of "toxic" conversations. I use toxic in the sense of "One man's mead is another man's poison."

There's that old saying: "Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results."

  • 1 month later...

lol re soylent green hehehe

not a bad idea to be able to trade recipes for gack, targ, and protein supplement 45

i love vegemite and marmite (not that I have had it for ages), most people that try it for the first time dont realise that you only use a SMALL amount it's not like peanut butter or something.

BTW, what the hell is "mores" ???

I think let nature take its course with conversations, with the majority of the focus being on star trek and sci fi related or inspired issues. i'm not for censorship of topics, only behaviour perhaps

I voted for the first option because I wanted to see the results, if status quo or all the above were an option I would have picked that
