Looney247
The show is not your typical Sci-Fi show because it's not just technology/alien babble. It's a new style, or mix if you will, of story telling which reminds me of other TV shows like Earth 2 and V but with a touch of I, Robot. It's an exciting, sometimes strange, new TV series and I've become an instant fan. :cyclops: What about you?
Fenrer
Granted, it's not an action oriented SF show, though it still has its epics moments -- say, one ep out of three, or four. I see it as a drama. Focused on characters, but without the PC crap that can often bore even the most fervent Star Trek fans. B)

BigDawgAMD
I think it is the depth of the characters, along with their interpersonal relations that complement the story lines. And of course the great FX when there is action.
Ulysses
dunno it does have its fair share of epic moments in it for example Kobol's last gleaming part 1 and 2, 33 minutes, hand of god. But Sci Fi isnt about epic battles (unless its star wars lol). Look at the best Trek episodes most are not grand battle episodes but actually rely on there story to power it (i.e TNG The Inner light, DS9's In the pale moonlight) and afew others which i cant remember. werecow
its the humanity of the show. they dont try to paint the characters as larger than life. they show the weak side in all characters...which makes them more real and ppl we can really associate with. then there is the struggle with the few remaining members of humanity left against a seemingly undefeatable foe. again showing humankind's strength in the face of adversity even tho we quibble amongst ourselfs
